"...[w]hen people lose confidence in that official, they have no power at all." [said Murtha]
Mr. Murtha's outspokenness has made him a target. A North Carolina-based group called Vets for the Truth has launched a "Boot Murtha" campaign, inviting protesters to an Oct. 1 rally in Johnstown.
Organizer Larry Bailey is a retired Navy SEAL who said he was driven not by Mr. Murtha's stance on troop redeployment but by the congressman's assertion in May, before a thorough investigation, that Marines in Haditha had killed innocent Iraqi civilians "in cold blood."
"I have some misgivings myself about what's going on in Iraq," Mr. Bailey said. "Until May 17, I wasn't the least bit interested in the 12th District of Pennsylvania."
Mr. Murtha said bad acts by soldiers hurt the military and should be aired. "I've supported the troops my entire political career," he said. "I don't think there would have been an investigation if I hadn't said something. You have to make it public."
...
[Coop note: There already was an investigation, you lying sack of trash. And your problem is you have already proclaimed the Marines guilty, thereby denying them presumption of innocence and due process. They are "decorated, hawkish Marine combat veterans." They've earned that much, Traitor!!]

Hmmmmm. Again you have that irony thing working against you. Well, here I am with stick in mouth. What was that you were saying about "charging off"?? :-)
It wasn't contributing anything and just taunting for the sake of taunting. I'm glad AM took care of this.
Yeah, I was running out of boxes of tissues.
Howlin, are you in game mode? :-)
Fight the good fight Ms. Irey!
Thanks for supporting Commissioner Irey's efforts to retire and redeploy despicable Johnny Murtha!
saganite is no more.
Coop and Amish Dude erased "it".
You know, when I promised you $5 to keep Coop's threads bumped up to the top, this wasn't what I had in mind...
One can run out of things to say about this ex-Marine. So I will simply praise everyone that cares about the outcome to be favoriable for our fighting men in uniform in cases that should never have come to be, and for this US House of Representative to be removed from his position by someone who by all indications shall with honor properly represent both their district as well as our great nation. And with that being said mom, do have a pleasant evening. I gotta hit the sack. Tough working at the HD with the crazy nine hour days, less transportation each way. I don't have the drive to often answer our fine Freepers as I would like. My store is totally understaffed and ill managed for the most part. Most of the dozens of folks I have come to know all are almost in a daze, due to shifts that span anytime during 6AM to 11PM. One may work till eleven only to have to report early for work. It is a real bear. So this old Marine uncle just doesn't have the drive most days to respond with adequate feedback.
Murtha doesn't need proof, he only needs "Time" magazine to slander Marines...
Disgusting excuse for a human, let alone a CONgresscritter.
Oh, it gets worse.....stay tuned for the sequel.
Unless you're going to try to catch fish with your breath, the phrase is "bated breath." As in abate, or to suspend.
I take no credit, although I guess I made saganite admit that he's doing nothing but juvenile trolling.
