LONDON -- Britain's close alliance with the United States is damaging its standing in the Muslim world, Iran's president said in an interview published Saturday.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad urged Britons to evict Prime Minister Tony Blair's government from office, saying Blair's support for Washington's foreign policy could force Britain into future Mideast conflicts, the Guardian newspaper reported.
"The British people should stop supporting governments that are waging war in the Middle East, such as their own government, the United States government and Israel," Ahmadinejad said.
Ahmadinejad said the era in which the United States and a handful of other countries dominated world affairs is drawing to a close and insisted those trying to stop Iran from developing its nuclear capability will not succeed.
"They are trying to deny our right to develop nuclear power," he said.
"But no one can impose anything on the Iranian people. They will not succeed."
"This arrogance will not last forever. Soon you will see the great powers kicked out of their throne."
The UN Security Council has said Iran could face sanctions if it does not suspend uranium-enrichment, a key step in making nuclear weapons. Tehran has until the end of the month to respond officially.
The United States, Britain and their allies suspect Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons but Tehran said it only seeks to build civilian power plants.

They have outflanked the West diplomatically for a couple years now, and with the hezbollah success in Lebanon clearly feel they have momentum on their side. This flurry of pompous and condescending statements is a direct response to the West's vacillation and weakness, not just Olmert's--The Iranians have emerged as the "strong horse" in the MidEast at this time, and are attempting to make the most of it. Bad signs abound.
These sub-humans don't bluff. All of Europe has allowed enough muslim migration and immigration that they are all in danger. The psychotic Iranian prez isn't appealing to Blair or parliament. He's appealing to the muslim population that's already present there. JMO.
Well, we should find out on the 22nd.
Even if he doesn't pull an "attack" scenario, that's the date he's supposed to give his answer to the UN about the nuclear program (like we don't already know the answer.)

What they are doing is conducting a very effective propaganda offensive.
The rather transparent objective of this effort is to isolate the U.S. (and Israel).
They're taking advantage of the fact that the European and American left both find such tough talk "scarey"...and want to appease it, at all costs.
That means faltering support for our efforts here at home. And it means intimidated allies...

Mr. Iwannajihad is just continuing what he and his terrorist friends started in the embassy takeover in Tehran in 1979. Their idea was to bring down all of the Western powers, especially the 'Great Satan'. He's simply trying to peel our allies off, one at a time. He's already gotten the French, which wasn't hard, but he's trying to play the other Allies against each other.
