This comment he made about four other murders. I wonder if they are checking into that. The cases may be cold, but if Karr did this, he would believe himself to be under investigation. It's almost like he wants to brag, but not get caught. He could also just be delusional. If the DNA is a match though, they need to seriously look into this allegation.

Local news here in Montgomery has been reporting that 3 murders investigations here have been reopened and they are considering karr as a suspect. All 3 murders were of 11 yr old girls and took place in late 2001 (after Karr had fled California). Shannon Paulk was killed in Aug 2001 in Prattville, Al. Another girl was killed in N. Alabama near where Karr lived and went to school, and another was killed in Georgia. I do not have names or dates on those, but the report said that Officials considered that all 3 murders were possibly linked.

LOL. I haven't thought about this case for a long time. But it certainly is a good lesson in how important it is to not prejudge things and not believe everything you hear. In this guy's case as well.

Sandrock is the correct name for the person I was calling Sandbar

Michael Sandrock writes a column for The Daily Camera in which Michael Tracey also write a column for. Sandrock was in London and some how he ran into Karr. (something tells me that maybe Karr sought out Sandrock) - Sandrock put Karr in touch with Tracey.

more details here...

I'm just going to wait for the DNA. It may not be him. What I find interesting about this thread though, is the analyzing of the psychology behind the perpetrator. I think there is a lot of insight. I can see how elements of this crime do fit Karr's personality given what we know. But like you said, they have to show he WAS there.

I think it was simply a typo and was supposed to be 1996.

We do not know from the articles what was in those photos that made the journalism professor concerned. There is implication, but no information.

There is NO doubt that there is more to this than we are being told. That said, we just don't know what it is and it may not prove that Karr is guilty.

The way the girls were abducted, killed and the bodies dropped in the woods. IOW they had considered at the time and still do that the same person killed all three girls - I.E. linked.

They must have compared the DNA, shoeprint, palm print, where he was at the time of the murder and the problems that precipitated the suicide. Obviously, they cleared him of any involvement. NO ONE likes Cold Cases that involve a child and a predator.

I'm a "you gotta get a perp with three pieces of strong evidence" to convict him and do away with reasonable doubt.

The Peterson trial was a good example. He never thought the bodies would surface. Until then, everything was tooooo circumstantial.

I'm pretty certain they have the right guy. The note matches the crime and his mindset. His "Victory" is against the rich and positions of power....the people who have "stopped him" from being a success.

Now the picture of the bear has surfaced. They said her little bear had a heart on it. Did he put a heart on her hand...just like the bear?? Where is the heart on the bear?

they still must place him in Boulder, and explain the actions he would have had to have taken to get into the house, operate inside the house for so long, how he even knew of the Ramsey's, etc.

and they had better come up with more handwriting samples - because the note does not match that yearbook.

I agree with you. when I learned exactly how she died, I was convinced it wasn't Patsy. I know that some parents do horrific things to their kids, but something like this doesn't just happen out of the blue. Furthermore, they had a son. If I did something like this to one of my children, my husband would be afraid for our other children. there is no way he would help cover it up.

I think that many people are not aware that the killer tied a rope around her neck, inserted a garrot, and then began twisting it. That person was next to her twisting this thing, and watching her claw at it with her little fingers. It takes several minutes to die that way.

The cops sure do get carried away with Cold Cases. We just solved 6 murders here that way. He was a sexual perp. He had been picked up on other minor charges. His DNA wasn't in the data base.

New York came to the plate thanks to our local D.A.. We've just changed NYS law to expand the base. Right to privacy?? Laws are made to protect good people. Either do it....or let them all go!!

NOt that I know of. They just feel those 3 cases are linked to each other. They said that they are looking at Karr as a possible suspect, so they were rechecking some of the facts in the cases, etc. MY take is that they are probably asking Boulder for Karr's DNA so they can match it to any DNA from these cases.

In light of Karr's "supposed" statement about 4 other murders (I say supposed because I haven't seen this before), it probably makes sense for them to at least check it out.

I also think people don't realize just how large, disconnected and public this house was/is.

A lot can go on in a house like that.
