An arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case is due to happen "shortly," according to sources in our newsroom -- I know I can't post the link to our site (we're a Gannett station, and despite the "ban", I would welcome the traffic), but most of you know where I work and what the site is...
According to our sister station in Denver, an arrest took place early this morning in Thailand.
Stand by for details and updates as they come in.
So what did the murderer do with the murder weapon? Schiller says this has never been released to the public.
Wasn't it the paintbrush? Used in the garote.
I think Schiller knows.
What baseball bat?
Some people spend Christmas the same place every year. I always do.
I do remember that now.
Apparently John Mark Karr lived in California. I did a USSearch and there is a John Mark Karr living in California. If anyone would like to follow up be my guest.
She was killed with the garotte. Death was by strangulation. The garotte was found tied around her neck and looped around her wrist. The blow to her head was post mortem. A baseball bat was found in the alley behind the house. The idea of the flashlight was posited because the depression at the front of her skull matches the shape of the flashlight.
Thai Sticks
I'm guessing since this guy admitted guilt to some of the crime that means he described how he got in the home or something like that no one else would know but the perp who did the crime.
Libertarian? ....... Hardly. And, I have a less than Zero Tolerance when it comes to drugs.
Schiller says that there are facts about the murder weapon not known. Why would you be surprised? Many facts are kept secret.
What was used as the garotte, how was it tied, where exactly was she left, in what physical position, did the killer add or subtract anything from her clothing, etc. There is a lot of detailed information only the killer could provide.
Will be interesting to see how the confession stands up to the Kerr family's claimed alibi.
Thailand?
[blush] Thank you...
That's who I always suspected
Like most people you obviously didn't know the real facts in the case. If you suspected the oldest brother, then you didn't know that it was proven that he was miles and miles away in Atlanta, Georgia that night. If you suspected the 9 year old brother, then you didn't know that the police completely cleared him after several intensive sessions with police and a psychologist where his parents were not even present.
When did I say I would be surprised and about what?
Right. They have to hold back info for a trial. I have been on a few forums that thought they knew EVERYTHING about this case. I kept mentioning that there is info that is not released to the public to protect the integrity of a future trial.
Sounds as if this suspect had that information.
I feel so badly for the Ramsey family. They have endured a hell I cannot even fathom.
Look at 142 onward.
Yes because police are never wrong. I'm glad it wasn't the brother, but police sometimes makes mistakes too.
Doubt it. Problem with her dying, for the creep anyway, was that he no longer had anyone to torture with the death of JonBenet.
Someone posited that themurder may have been a fixation on Patsy anyway.
