Abstract
Recent reports of problem foods in Mainland China have raised global concerns about the safety of Chinese food products. Drawing on reliable data extracted from Chinese newspapers, magazines and the Internet, this report, the second in the series, takes a closer look at the hair-made soy sauce, a common kitchen-accessory for marinating and seasoning foods. It seeks to inform the scientific and medical communities regarding the potential short- and long-term epidemic consequences of consuming such soy sauce

Speaking of which, the Chinese do go into fossilized graveyards, crush bones and use the powder for medicine.

Dragonbones. Needless to say, some opf these fossils aren't animal ones.

You are right. It has been picked up on various blogs, however.

In the meantime, hold the soy please...

I wonder if you'll be saying that when the FDA enforces Codex Alimentarius. I mean, in the words of Kevin Trudeau (or should it be Liedeau?), "The FDA has guns...they come in with GUNS". :)

Listen guys, I know what you're thinking - don't do it because I've already taken one for the team on this one.

Soaking your hair in a sauce made of hair may seem reasonable and should be beneficial, but trust me cowboy, it ain't.

Well at least the chinese apparently have the good sense to wear condoms when they go to the barbershop.

I should know, I've got some Chinese blood in me.

According to this report, so do many of the consumers of this tainted soy sauce. (rim-shot!)

Given the propensity of the Chinese to consume foodstuffs of dubious origins and contents, I wonder if other "Mad Cow" type diseases might have their origins in China? Bird Flu seems to have grown out of China's poor fowl husbandry practices. Who knows what other nasty medical surprises will come out of China as more and more Chinese products are mass marketed to the rest of the world.

bttt

Alzheimer's Disease has a lot of very, very similar traits as mad cow. Madcow gained popularity from people putting recycled animal components into the feeds for the purpose of adding amino acids.

If you read on in this thread to the posts I've added, it may not just be the soy sauce. It looks like the human componets were being used to make amino acids.

I don't know which is more worrisome, an intentional biological warfare campaign or an unintentional outbreak due to their strange dietary practices.

I'm not finding it on their web site, but Maxim magazine this month had an article about a funeral home in New York City that took organs and bones from carcasses (including Alistair Cooke's body) without permission from the decedents' families. The bones and other organs were used for transplants even though the "donors" had died of cancer, AIDS, hepatitis etc. There were many conspirators, a lot of money changed hands... it made me NEVER want to donate my organs. Never!

Here's a link if you cared to read it... disgusting and disturbing!!
