WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A 32-year-old woman wielding a machete was arrested Sunday outside the White House, the Secret Service said.
Spokeswoman Kim Bruce said Ashwak Saleh was taken into custody and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon after she displayed a 13-inch machete on the sidewalk outside the White House.
Saleh was arrested at 2:20 p.m. and taken to Washington Metro Police Department 3rd district for processing.
Witnesses said Saleh was sitting on the sidewalk when she pulled the machete out of a leather sleeve and began sharpening it on the edge of the sidewalk.
The witnesses said passersby then alerted Secret Service officers, one of whom approached the woman and told her to "Drop the blade."
To that, Saleh said, "What are you going to do -- shoot me?"

This is the sort of "noise" I've been noticing. Here in NYC, I've either seen or heard of instances where people will insist upon praying, in broad daylight in absolutely the most crowded places (floor of commodities exchange, busy streetcorner 1 block from Ground Zero, middle of Grand Central at rush hour), toward Mecca.
Well, let me clarify. They insist upon throwing down a rug at some odd angle to the rest of the world and kneeling down. It is obviously meant to look like prayer, but I don't think it is that so much as it is a show. But it's right in-your-face, in the very city they attacked 5 years ago.
They're acting out, louder and louder, and everyone knows that an increase in "noise" or "chatter" indicates that something is cooking.
Frankly being born here doesn't make you a citizen imo. She is obviously a citizen of the ME.
