The Lebanese government was scheduled to meet on Sunday to discuss the disarming of Hizbullah south of the Litani River, but postponed that meeting following indications by the guerrilla group that they would not do so.
Hizbullah's refusal was conveyed to Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora through the group's representative in the Lebanese parliament, Nabih Berri.

Time for the IDF to CRY HAVOK!The IDF cried HAVOK four weeks ago, but Prime Minister Neville Olmert wouldn't let them unleash it. I have every confidence in the IDF, but none in the current political leadership. If the timid Olmert continues to pluck defeat from the IDF's grasp, Israel may turn again to its warrior. Winston Netanyahu waits in the wings.

Apparently, Hezz will not give up their weapons and daring Lebanon to enforce any disarmament, the result is the government delaying and caving. The government is hoping that the UN force will disarm Hezz for them (won't happen). Ceasefire appears to be DOA Monday. Israel can continue to engage in military action if Lebanon does not abide by the terms of the ceasefire. Israel has political cover, Rice can wash her hands of the issue, the UN can scream as they always do, but in the end the onus is now on Hezz/Lebanon.

Why is this news?
Did anyone really expect the Hezbos to surrender?
The French are supporting Iran, but the Hezbos are terrorists, not like weenie Frenchies.

Hezbolah will hit the headlines at about one minute before the deadline - screaming that the accept the resolution (But)... and announcing about ten minutes later that they had to keep firing because the Israelis didn't stop when that deadline came around.

1) I don't appreciate being called dummy I'm sure you don't either. (See the posting rules regarding personal attacks.)
2) Webster's New World Dictionary gives: havoc, ME Anglo-Fr Havok...."cry havoc" 1 orig., to give (an army) the signal for pillaging.
3) My original comment regarding "no mercy" was probably from a note taken from whatever version of "Julius Caesar" I was reading. I'm not going to bother chasing it down.
If you prefer to use Middle English in your postings, its fine, its good to be educated; but don't call someone a dummy when they correct your spellings to modern English unless you make it clear that you're using Middle English, Klingon, pig Latin, or whatever.

I'm shocked to find the Islamofacists will not disarm, shocked I tell you.
Anyone that thought this was for anything else than re-arming hasn't been paying attention.

No problemo...the IDF keeps shooting and killing. Much better than a bogus cease fire anyway.

The MSM is preaching to the 30% of the population (in the US) constituting the choir. The don't have nearly the influence over the rest of the public they used to have.
There's a bigger and bigger stink being rased, for example, over the Hezbollah staged photops done by the wire services in Lebanon.
What I don't understad (given the law) is why the MSM are nt prosecuted for giving money to terrorist organizations, like the Hezbollah stringers and Sunni terrorists in Iraq they pay for 'news' stories.

Well they agreed to everything else except a cease-fire, disarmament, return of the kidnapped soldiers and move out of South Lebanon, what the hell more does Israel want? They should just take what they can get! sarc

The question I have, is what literally does ''disarm'' mean?! Does it mean really disarm like.... dump all your guns and weapons in a ditch? Does it mean for Hezbollah to just go away? Does it mean ,lay your weapons down and stop fighting? Or does it mean Hezbollah should just move their terrorist fighters up North a little bit and away from the action for a while?!

I think you are being too optimistic
Otherwise public opinion would have the democrats in the toliet
