Mine is a grandchild weekend (and week too), as well. I have one of the 2 1/2 yr. olds all day Saturday, the 13 yr. old here overnight that night, a birthday party for the 4 yr. old Sunday. Then we all head to New Hampshire for most of the week. Hubby and me, my twin daughters' families, including 4/5 grandkids.
But no FR! :(

Batchelor back on Lieberman with Chuck Todd -- Todd predicting the likelihood of Lieberman dropping out of the race in a couple of weeks as main Democratic party coalesces behind Lamont. Right now he is running on anger, will find that funding and support is not going to be as much as hoped for in a month.
(Off topic -- here in SE NM and have been hearing AF jets overhead all evening [since before dark] and yesterday too. Don't know what's going on, never have heard this level before. Training for desert operations, maybe.)

I have read Olmert quoted to the effect "good we did this now, instead of two or three years later." Now I feel compelled to dig it up and make sure.

I'm in northeastern upstate NY. One daughter who lives 40 minutes north of me has been reporting a lot of aircraft activity over her for the past week.

I saw that...I feel so sorry for the Israeli people..but, they voted for him.
I have a feeling the Kadima party will NOT be the favorite anymore.
Some, more level-headed posters have cautioned that we don't know what is happening behind the scenes..and Olmert may have reasons for what he is doing/not doing...but as frustrated as we are...
imagine if you lived there...especially in the north..and one minute they are gonna fight to keep you safe...and the next, they are gonna sign an unenforceable resolution..sheesh
