I'm watching the military. That tells me part of what I need to see. Tyre is without power. That tells me much. Olmert has accepted the ground campaign to start even with cease fire looming. IDF will make a rapid and violent gains up until Sunday and who knows maybe beyond that. By the way, the cabinet may now push Olmert if he lacks backbone.

UN resolution would deploy 15,000 UN troops in southern Lebanon
A draft Security Council resolution circulated Friday would authorize the deployment of 15,000 UN peacekeepers in south Lebanon to support Lebanon's deployment to the region "as Israel withdraws."
The draft, obtained by The Associated Press, would ask the UN force to monitor a full cessation of hostilities and help Lebanese forces gain full control over an area that has previously been under de facto control of Hizbullah. (AP)
