Anything we can do to Muslims can be done to us.
First IDs, next reeducation camps.
Last time I check, this is the United States of America, not the Third Reich/United Soviet Socialist Republic. And there are no "Unter Menschen"/"Enemy of the State" that needs to be deorted, imprisoned, and/or murdered.

We should all feel march in parades holding candles, hold hands, hug muslims, and feel very guilty.

39 percent said the U.S. should require Muslims to carry a special ID What good would a "special" ID do?

Since we continue to appease them, make excuses for them and generally look the other way, we only embolden them to come up with horrific acts of violence, in the future. We will pay a bigger price down the road for our inability to come to grips with the threat.

The "non-muslim street" has had a bellyful of the "Religion of Peace" and is about to get medieval.

If we are going to be civil, having established a country where practitioners of religions of every kind are free to pursue their dreams, then we must endure a certain degree of discomfort as people of different faiths carry on in life. If, however, certain people seek to establish a country where practitioners of religions of every kind are restricted or prohibited, and do so by physical force or threat, they must be opposed.
I believe there are Muslims in this country who understand and appreciate the former idea. Must they "conflict themselves," i.e. live in a country that is not perfectly in accord with the religious beliefs they hold? Yes. So must Christians, Jews, and Secularists. There is no way to establish a pluralistic nation without allowing for some give and take.
If we absolutely cannot tolerate any and every faith, then we need to rewrite the Constitution to say as much. I don't particularly care for or trust Muslims. I absolutely despise the ones who are attempting to establish a rule on earth that does not allow for people of all faiths (within reason). The two types are not identical.

Since they declared war on us, why cant we round them up and put them in camps?
Actually I favor deportation as traitors to Arabia, but only 4 out of 10 Americans have a clue so far.

Opinions are different, however, among Americans who are personally acquainted with a Muslim, the poll disclosed. My last boss was a Muslim from Pakistan, here on a work visa. He had the arranged marriage, his wife wears the garb, and he reads the Koran. Given that he was a swarmy, lying weasel, knowing him doesn't sway my opinion their way.

I wonder why? 9/11, London underground, Paris metro, Russian school, Madrid trains, explosives in German trains, plot foiled in London, Canada. I wonder why many Americans mistrust those who love the ideology of death and destruction that hides behind the false mask of a "religion". I wonder why.

Fear trumps hope but most Americans are more scared of losing SSI and Medicare than of the threat of Islamic terrorism.

The truth is that the Muslim leadership and communities have not done enough to condemm the violence, there have been too much silence on their part so do not be suprise that non-Muslims are getting fed up. The non-Muslims cannot be blamed for this.

Most folks will lie about their negative feelings towards others so they won't look bad. I'd bet the true percentages are much higher.
To: Aussie Dasher
Also, 22 percent of those surveyed said they would not like to have a Muslim as a neighbor. I have many Muslim neighbors and I do fight a sense of worry. Maybe its the language barrier, maybe its who much they keep to themselves, or maybe its what I know about their belief system. I have taken it upon myself to be cordial, even fix their kids bikes from time to time.
When Christ said Love thy neighbor he never said it would be easy..
