That hasn’t happened, however, because his book Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements, and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America — and What We Can Do About It, has crossed the boundary of what is — and what is not — permitted by the high priests of liberal orthodoxy.

Indeed it has: The title is WAY too long. That's a crime in the biz.

Not that I would doubt Juan but maybe he just took a look at book sales and wrote for the market. I'm sure he'd like 10% of Ann Coulter's book sales and at least half of them aren't to Soros.

Well, maybe the book is spot-on...

.but Juan still spouts whole pages from the liberal playbook whenever he's on Brit's show.....

..I see no change in the man.

Colmes talks as though he has no original thought.

One night I heard him say something about how American soldiers had to clean blood off dead Iraqi victims. He was whining like a girl. That's when I knew he would be someone's _____ were he ever to actually go to Iraq, or, if he were called on to actually defend himself or me and mine. Alan may be a nice guy, but he just needs a petticoat.

He's not the vicious liberal on Brit's show, like he was on Crossfire.

No I wouldn't call him vicious.....

..I would call him combative, argumentative, politically uninformed with a very liberal bent.

Williams notes: “If you attack anybody who is designated by the white media as a black leader you are therefore attacking black America and blaming the victim and you’re not seeing the larger picture while you have real problems afoot in terms of educating black kids, in terms of watching black kids born out of wedlock into poverty in this country, in terms of watching what I consider a culture of failure where people don’t call to account ... violence and sadistic rap music.”

If that sentence is an indication of his writing skills, no thanks! His politics is rotten enough for me.

“It’s not the back burner, but the burner itself that has disappeared.

I wonder if Juan is naive enough to be surprised by his reception.

That is true. I do think his voice, voicing these concerns is good when coupled with Cosby's and others who will hopefully have the courage to stand up and be counted now that they have.

I am under no delusion that he has become conservative.

Michael, I love you, but, Juan and now you by supporting him are just continuing racism.

We should not be profiling people so that we find out how many people with one color of skin have so many kids out of wedlock, or their income versus another color of skin, or or or.

Sex outside of marriage is wrong for everybody!

Irresponsible fathers are all wrong! It has NOTHING to do with their race. They need to repent and start paying child support or go back to their families.

Sin is sin, and to make it somehow an issue of the melanin of one's skin, or an issue of from where did your ancestors come, is fallacious and attempt of satan to distract us from Truth.

To the undiscernign eye it SEEMS nice and necessary to have the Bill Cosby's and the Juans to point out the black failures and needs, but 1) it is NOT a color issue, and 2)that conservative message of values, of right and wrong, really should be taught by ALL of us, listening to the voices of our pastors and to the Word of God specifically!

We criticize others by finding anything "different" than ourselves, and we elevate ourselves pridefully by fostering any distinctions, and making it "good" or "bad." Being ANY skin color is not good or bad! But this is exactly what we do everytime we continue to foster conversation such as now Juan's book which says there IS anything different between races!

We all are created in God's image. We all could do good on tests if we are trained and pushed to value education. We all have different gifts. We all can also lead lives of irresponsibility because of our sinful flesh. But NONE of these areas of concern we have when seeing people's problems ARE related to race, but instead character, their values, and their earnestness in trying to seek and follow the Lord.

It is NOT a Christian value to be MAKING a distinction God Himself does not make in Scripture! We are to make judgments based on individual behaviors and actions. We certainly don't want to characterize anyone as falling into any group which is less that how God Himself would describe them.

We are Americans. But we are not all alike. We are Christians. We are from the state of whatever. We are Republicans. We do such and such for work. These can generalize our beliefs and person. But we DON'T make skin color a belief system or philosophy!

Jesus didn't categorize by race, saying "Well I have four light colored people here, and three medium colored people here, and five dark colored people there." He said we are to love one ANOTHER, for love is of God. He said we are to love our enemies, too. God so loved the WORLD that He sent His Son to die for us. Color or ancestry are NOT issues with God! Each individual is to have faith that Jesus Christ's death forgives them and gives them the mercy and grace of God through faith. Race is not AN issue!

It is NOT that "blacks" have 70% fatherless homes, it's that there are PEOPLE who aren't willing to give up their crime and be responsible. Unintentioned profiling acts like the "Law" Scripture speaks of...It merely excites the flesh, "Oh that's how I AM, BECAUSE I am of this COLOR", or heritage.

I'm an American, and so I act a certain way because I BELIEVE in certain rights we have. But that is DIFFERENT than saying "I have a certain skin color, and so I have certain beliefs that go along with that."

As noble as it seems to encourage someone starting to promote conservative values as hopefully Juan is now, the race profiling aspects of his and other books/lectures need to be stopped, because they only encourage people to make divisions where there ARE none. We are humans.

The real divisions and issues are moral and religious: are we willing to repent and allow God to change us and help us become more like Him, or are we going to keep rebelling against Him, our only hope? Refusal to relinquish the issue of color or heritage is a sin, because it is contrary to Scripture which says that "in Christ there is neither male nor female, Greek nor Jew, slave nor free." God does NOT see those categories our sinful flesh wants to make.

AMEN bump...and must-read ping to 55.

However, since not all repent--those in authority must take measures to identify wilful evildoers and prevent them from acting out their intentions. A sticky wicket. Prayers up for all those in government!
