The FBI has issued an urgent nationwide alert for 11 Egyptian students who entered the United States last week but failed to show up for their courses at Montana State University.
An FBI advisory says there are, at present, no known connections to any terrorist group but that the students are to be "approached with caution" and taken into custody. They "are here illegally and wanted for questioning," the advisory says.
The advisory comes just over a month before the five-year anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks on the United States.
"This is of very serious concern and is being closely tracked," said Rep. Peter King (R-NY), Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.
The FBI says the Egyptians arrived at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on July 29 and disappeared. The advisory says the alert is nationwide but that there is specific concern the Egyptians may be on the Eastern Seaboard.
According to the advisory the 11 missing Egyptians are:
1. Ibrahim, El Sayed Ahmed Elsayed; DOB OF 4/29/1986.
2. El Dessouki, Eslam Ibrahim Mohamed; DOB OF 02/21/1985.
3. El Bahnasawi, Alaa Abd El Fattah Ali; DOB OF 04/02/1986.
4. Abd Alla, Mohamed Ragab Mohamed; DOB OF 02/15/1984.
5. El Laket, Ahmed Refaat Saad El Moghazi; DOB OF 09/01/1986.

Yep, pics would be helpful.
Right.......... like these "students" appreciate American culture. Oh, *now* I get it.... Ms. Rasmussen wants us to appreciate THEIR culture. All this and more for $15 a day.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 9, 2006
Two Additional Egyptian Students Arrested in New Jersey
Washington, D.C. Today, the Manville (New Jersey) Police Department took custody of Mohamed Ragab Mohamed Abd Alla, a 22 year-old Egyptian national, and Ebrahim Mabrouk Moustafa Abdou, a 22 year-old Egyptian national. The Manville Police Department contacted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and FBI agents who responded immediately.
ICE agents took custody of both individuals on administrative immigration violations as out-of-status students. Preliminary investigation by ICE and FBI agents has not identified any credible or imminent threat posed by Mr. Abdou or Mr. Abd Alla.
Earlier today, FBI and ICE agents also arrested 21year-old Egyptian National Eslam Ibrahim Mohamed El-Dessouki in Minneapolis. The arrest occurred without incident. El-Dessouki was taken into custody on an administrative immigration violation as an out-of-status student. He was located through source information obtained in the joint FBI-ICE investigation and is currently in the custody of ICE officials. Preliminary investigation has not identified any credible or imminent threat posed by El-Dessouki
The FBI and ICE investigation is ongoing, as we remain interested in locating and interviewing the other eight Egyptian students who failed to report for their academic program at Montana State University.
Everything that evolved around 9-11 occurred on a Tuesday...NY & D.C. hits and the dates on the Anthrax letters.
Someone mentioned Aug 22nd. That's a Tuesday. Oh, cr**!!
and as I would I left off an 'ing'......sorry
Thank you Syberyenta, that's excellent to have acceess to the photos.
Maybe looking at Chicago, any tall buildings near Minneapolis.
As someone pointed out earlier, there is the Mall of the Americas, the biggest mall in the country. Terrorize mall goers, mess up the shopping economy of our country.
Thanks for posting the link. You should make a separate thread and post it in breaking with the pictures. I've been waiting to see the pix, since it was first reported. I think the release said, "approach with caution." That being said, these pix should be plastered all over the news. Good job in finding the link.
Here are your pictures along with names:

Heard on WABC radio this morning that the two Egyptian students were picked up at an Italian rest. owned by "uncle" sami (last name sounded Italian but wasn't), who is Egyptian. Supposedly, students are from the same town. I understand that they only "surrendered" after the agents came into the rest. to talk.
No link on story yet.

Found the story: Here are the interesting bits:
(New York-WABC, August 9, 2006) - Three Egyptian students missing since they first arrived in New York for a college exchange program in Montana have been located. Eight others were still missing and federal authorities said they're interested in talking with them.
People in Manville, New Jersey say Mia Sorella is an excellent Italian restaurant. They'd might be surprised to know though that it's owned by an Egyptian man named Sami Aboelata. For 17 years, he's lived here in Manville.
"They came from the same village where I'm from in Egypt," he said.
"They are some good kids ... just wanna come work, vacation ... nothing in their mind to do something bad to this country," Aboelata said.
Learning of the manhunt, Sammy brought the two men to police headquarters in Manville where they were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for visa violations.
So what happened? How did they get lost? Well not speaking any English, they simply walked away from the group.
"Everybody left ..they went to the bathroom in the airport and they went out and the guys went off by themselves ... and nobody speak English ... they were supposed to have a guide with them," Aboelata said.
And found their way to the Italian rest. in NJ...imagine that.
Meanwhile, a third man, Eslam Ibrahim Mohamed El-Dessouki, 21, was taken into custody in Minnesota on what was termed an administrative immigration violation as an out-of-status student, according to the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.
"The FBI remains extremely interested in interviewing" the other missing Egyptian students, said Paul McCabe, a spokesman for the FBI in Minneapolis.
The missing students pose no terrorism threat, the agency said.' Yeaaaaaa....
Thanks. I did see a little bit of the restaurant guy's story, but had to leave for a while. This one has more details. I love the "they went to a few clubs" comment.
Nowhere do they say a word about the *university classes* they were "supposed" to be attending. Nothing at all. Like it was just a $4,000 US visit with everyone free to do as they please once they hit New Yawk, New Yawk.
Lots of deleted expletives going around today!
