SEOUL (Reuters) - A former U.S. cabinet member who has held discussions with North Korean officials in the past over the North's nuclear ambitions may be planning a fresh trip to Pyongyang, Yonhap news agency reported on Tuesday.

Richardson had been in discussions with the North Korean mission to the United Nations in New York about the visit, Yonhap cited the source as saying.

Richardson was unlikely to travel as an official U.S. envoy, the source said, but added that he had acted as a conduit for the Bush administration before.

What is this fat fake doing in discussions with the North Korean mission to the United Nations in New York about the visit."?

All we need is another interfering demorat sticking his nose into the nation's affairs to undercut the Bush administration. When will Bush do something about this "unlikely to travel as an official U.S. envoy" crap from Richardson? I keep hearing about the "Imperial Presidency". Take a trip to NM to see an "Imperial Governorship" in action!

Because he has national ambitions.....

OTOH, maybe he should go. We can hope the North Koreans keep him.

"Ex-Clinton official may go to North Korea:"

Richardson is going to give them another $4 billion of American taxpayers money to develop a nuclear program for "peaceful purposes" like his Klinton administration did before?

Ex-Clinton official may go to North Korea: rumors say trade will include North Korea's first pick in next year's despot draft and an unspecified amount of wheat flour.

I doubt it. Sounds like he is trying to do the BIlateral talks that Kerry told Bolton worked during the Clinton years.

I call it treason.

Richardson critized (shock!!) the Bush administration during a radio adress in July and said US needed to talk with the North. This must be a follow up.

I will also add trying to undercut this Administration...His involvement in the sale of our technology to China places him in the same status as Carter as far as I am concerned...
