DaimlerChrysler Slams America in S. African Billboard

I thought everyone might like to see this picture which appears in this month's Car & Driver. Chrysler jumps on the anti-American bandwagon to sell cars abroad. This is an actual picture of a billboard displayed in South Africa...touting the absence of any American influence in its Smart cars.

My cars and trucks, however, are Japanese. Best value, hands down. Totally agree. There isn't an American (or these days, Mexican) car model that would make my top 100 these days. I think Chrysler's designs are improving quite a bit - if they can get the reliability up they could be a contender again. Ford and GM - forget it.
