Today's FEEBLE
YOKE :
A group of managers were assigned the task of measuring the height of a flagpole. They got their ladders and tape measures and went out to the flagpole.
However, the measurement job turned out to be much more difficult than any of them had expected, with some of them falling off the ladders, some dropping their tape measures or pencils, and the whole thing had turned in to a big disaster.
After a while, an Ms Feather happened to walk by and saw what the managers were attempting to do.
She walked over, pulled the flagpole out of the ground, and laid it flat on the ground.
She measured it from end to end, gave the measurement to one of the managers and then walked away without saying a word.
After Ms Feather was out of sight, one manager turned to another and laughed as he shook his head. "Now that's just like Ms Feather! We're looking for the height and she gives us the length!"

Favorite female athlete = Sarah Ulmer (NZ cyclist Olympic Gold). Runner-up: Beatrice Faumuina (NZ Shot-put Olympic Gold)
(Hey, I'm a Kiwi and proud of it!)
Favorite US female athlete = Mary-Lou Retton (who could forget that mile-wide Olympic Gold Medal smile!) Runner-up: Billie Jean King.
Favorite foreign female athlete = Nadia Commaneci (1976 Montreal: defined the meaning of "10"). Runner-up: Zola Budd -- wrongfully clonged for "tripping" Mary Decker. Honorable mention: Manon Rhéaume -- anyone who can play goalie in ice hockey at professional level has guts, and Manon was the first Female to do so.

Ya may not think Pro Wrestlers are athletes, but these ladies are in better physical condition and have more stamina than most of the other women I've seen poated on this thread. (these are the "Canteen friendliest" pics I could find...) (Blues to follow at noon)

Thanks, Lauren, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities. I will admit here, publicly, that I don't really have a favorite female athlete. If I had one it would be my oldest granddaughter.
I know I haven't done this in a while and I really think it's about time for another round.....hold on to something..........
