Favorite US female athlete = Mary-Lou Retton (who could forget that mile-wide Olympic Gold Medal smile!) Runner-up: Billie Jean King.
Favorite foreign female athlete = Nadia Commaneci (1976 Montreal: defined the meaning of "10"). Runner-up: Zola Budd -- wrongfully clonged for "tripping" Mary Decker. Honorable mention: Manon Rhéaume -- anyone who can play goalie in ice hockey at professional level has guts, and Manon was the first Female to do so.
