I went to Florida for a missile shoot when I was on the USS Patrick Henry (SSBN 599)in 1978. It was called a DASO or Demonstration and Shakedown Operation after a refueling overhaul at Mare Island NSY. They put a big mast on the boat, went out to sea, and let the missile techs have some fun shooting downrange with the ultimate bullet.


The Henry was a Thresher class fast boat cut in two and a missile compartment was welded in.

I had a long conversation with Susan Collins' office discussing her hearings on Katrina. Asked if Collins was willing to introduce legislation giving any President the right to usurp any Governor's powers with regard to the National Guard.

Of course, the aide was about as bright as the senator herself......had no clue. All Collins really wanted to do was blame the President for the loss of life in New Orleans.

It seems to most American that you inflame the enemy so that you can then blame the outrage on the President TRYING to protect us from the violent war waged on us- US the CIVILIANS! (yes- the target of this enemy is not on our military- it is on the civilians)

You have become the life support of the enemy. Every time you open your mouths- you place it firmly upon the lips of the enemy to give CPR and breath life into them. They are laughing at you.
