{get your hands out of your pants! what do you think you are trying to pull?}
Excellent analysis here shadeaud.
My guess is that Sec.Rice probably designed everything that has happened in the past few weeks if not much longer and will do the same in the future. No wonder w refers to her as 44,who else could do what she does on an everyday basis.
I just watched her,Condi, both on MTP and with stuffy stephy and never ever have I seen a Sec. of State so in charge of US foreign policy.Especially at a time when we really need it. Thank God she is there.
Russert tried over and over to chip away at her armor and over and over again she corrected him at what correct and well designed U.S. policy "actually" was whether it was the Hezzies in Lebanon, the mulllahs in iran, remarks about Gen. Abazaid taken out of context by Russert or any of the questions asked by the Robotic Russert who obviously has a staff of L/W children creating his questions for MTp.
On Iraq the DBM is obviously fronting a three fold assault it is as follows:
1.It's a civil war.
2. We need more troops.
3. We need to cut and run.
Try doing all three of those things at once and see where you get. Allin all condi represented her country and our foreign policy like no one else would do.
(I'm now listening to Ann Coulter on c spam 2, she too is awesome.)
I'm catching up on George Snivelopoulus, he's interviewing some middle-aged woman I never heard of.
Her statement is "I'm the only woman who worked in the Kennedy White House who Jack Kennedy didn't make a pass at. Probable because of my permanent wave." An astonishing statement. Bet she has a book.
Nora something or other. This is similar to the recent Atlantic Monthly article that quoted LBJ saying the Kennedy brothers were running Murder Incorporated in the Caribbean.
Well, at least Nixon never cheated on his wife.
David Gregory unwrapped.
I said the same thing to my husband yesterday. Lamont is a lightweight in terms of political heft. He is backed by the Kos Kids more to spite traditional Dems and to prove the "power" of Left-wing blogs to control the Party.
This is coming down as a student-body government race in some rich suburban high-school, with the "Kool Kos Kids" backing the smooth, WASP rich kid against the stolid, average-Joe ethnic, the guy who gets things done but the cheerleaders don't date.
Except for a few psychologically "restricted" (no Jews allowed) areas, Connecticut votes traditional Dem.
I think you're right. The Party cannot allow itself to even appear to have been bested by the Kos Kids.
Due initially, I believe, to Murtha's Mouth and support for Diana Irey to replace him, it's expected to generate more national notice and support, as folks get behind Diana fight to remove him and other candidates join the group.
Here's a link to the group, Rightroots, which information was the subject of this this thread about Sen. Frist's support for ABC Pac-Rightroots, and whose mission is: "Rightroots is a broad coalition of conservatives joining together in support of a solid slate of Republican candidates for the US House and Senate."
The front page shows a running total of contributions, and you can click on candidate's names to see their warchests growing. Diana Irey is leading the pack.
FYI:
(Former Navy SEAL) "CAPT Larry Bailey created Operation Street Corner during the 2004 Kerry Lied campaign conducted by Vietnam Vets for the Truth.
Bailey is now president of a project entitled, "Operation Boot Murtha," under the auspices of Iowa Presidential Watch PAC's committee Vets For The Truth."

Coop -- feel free to jump in with any further info and updates you have.
Did you know that they approached Ann Coulter for weekly Free Speech Commentary Segment on Couric's news? No idea whether she agreed or not.
More info than I really need!
Another reason the exit polls are wrong, is that many Conservatives here tend to vote absentee, because we DO have JOBS. The working libs take off to vote, and stand in the long lines.
No, it is in their DNA. The Iranian mullahs have been struggling for control over the central government of Iran for much of the 20th century. They have now been in power for almost 30 years. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. There is a reason why they are so unpopular in Iran. They are corrupt, oppressive tyrants. They will not relinquish their power willingly.
The news pages are every bit, perhaps more leftist than the NY or LA Times. Even it's movie reviews are far left.
But the editorial page features columnists with a greater variety of positions than, say the NY Times, and even the unsigned editorials take moderate positions from time to time such as supporting (now) Justice Roberts for the Supreme Court http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/09/17/AR2005091701133.html , whereas the NY Times never does, ever.
It will all depend on turnout. If Lieberman enjoys the support of most CT Dems, they will have to be energized to vote. The high profile of this election has to help Lieberman. I am still not backing away from my prediction that Lieberman will win on Tuesday.
Almost a distinction without a difference. The fact that we can recall the few exceptions speaks to how much they are usually on the same page. The WP owns Newsweek, another MSM Dem organ.
And I thank God for it. I think the President does too.
