I don't really care when you first used the phrase. I DO care about someone who brags about it.I clicked on this thread to read about Reuter's doctoring of images to further their political agenda. I would prefer not to have that reading disrupted by accusations and such as to whether or not a certain freeper coined a specific phrase.

Somehow the Israeli bomb excavated the floor of the child's bedroom while leaving the walls intact?

It's been a great night watching the pajamahadeen at work. FWIW, I did some searching and it appears that the lamestream matter cannot be settled through a normal search. I found a
bookmark page which links to the use of the word
lamestream in September of 1998 by Ravenstar. The link to the original thread is dead. So is the search.
But I also wanted to remind folks here about the LATimes altering a photo and getting caught. Here is a link the the apology thread where the fake is depicted.

No, i'm comparing a picture to a picture, so don't change the subject, trying to cloud the issue, just answer the question.

lol. research when you first used the phrase? well, when I said delusional, I wasn't kidding. by the way, now you're saying maybe you used the phrase in 98. before, you said you used it "here on FR about three years ago." Well that'd be about 5 years AFTER 1998. And before you try to backpedal some more, you didn't say you "may" have said it 3 years ago. You said you "may" have been the first, when you did say it, which you claimed was 2003, but now claim may have been 5 years earlier. So apart from having nothing factually correct in your post, it was a great post. lol. you sound like John Kerry. I have no doubt you'll be a successful politician!

I found this post, where BillyBob claims without qualification that he coined the term, and where he once again pegs his first usage to 2003, at least 4 years after it was already in use on the net...Algore, is that you??:
I was the one who first started using the phrase "lamestream" media, here on FR about two years ago. But MSM has caught on and is now the standard.

I found a little more on the photoshop stuff re Reuters. Another picture taken at almost exactly the same time. Which brings into question why the shot was used at all. See my comparison here at my

Maybe Reuters just wanted to make things look 'disproportionate'!! :P It's a News Service of Peace (TM).
To: Slings and Arrows
It's a tolerant news service...
