Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday called on Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld to resign, hours after excoriating him at a public hearing over what she called "failed policy" in Iraq.

"I just don't understand why we can't get new leadership that would give us a fighting chance to turn the situation around before it's too late," the New York Democrat and potential 2008 presidential contender said in an interview with The Associated Press. "I think the president should choose to accept Secretary Rumsfeld's resignation."

"The secretary has lost credibility with the Congress and with the people," she said. "It's time for him to step down and be replaced by someone who can develop an effective strategy and communicate it effectively to the American people and to the world."

There is to much in the Clinton past to not allow her to be elected for President. But as you suggest when Bill got elected he put their people in all the levels of Goverment that are Federal jobs so I don't think they can be removed- but they sure can leak.

Rumsfield, properly noted, that he would respond to her prepared statement. The bitch was mugging for the camera. With insolence her insipid questions were proffered and as she asked her inanities, she almost snarled, and with each syllable her shoulder shook left, then right,......exactly like she told 60 minutes...."if you don't want to vote for him , then don't,...but I'm not some little Tammy Wynette 'standin'by her man'". The bitch had the same exact body language today as she did then.

Hillary is the "first wife" many men have divorced because she's a bitch woman from hell. Her wimpy husband doesn't have the balls to divorce her. Their marriage is a joke and a sham. Most people have caught on to this.

Does anyone really think that Bill and Hillary Clinton can both work in the White House? That Bill will be second fiddle? That Bill will give up all the tail he usually gets so he can be "first lady"? Bill Clinton is not getting any younger and if he wants to get laid he'll never really help Hillary get elected. He has fame, money and can do whatever the hell he wants UNLESS he lives with Hillary in the White House. Bill has to pick blow jobs or no blow jobs. I bet he picks the BJ's......

Well I live in CT and I'm a Republican too - though a former Dem and ex-Berkeley hippie...but reformed with a vengeance! My way of expressing myself in this blue state is to create bumper stickers on bumperstatements.com and drive around with them to irritate the libs here. I'm looking forward to receiving these two bumperstickers in the mail shortly: "Support Israel - Israel's war is OUR war!" for one bumper, and "Our common enemy is Islamofascism" for the other. I believe that the level of ignorance out there is such that you need to stick to the basics.

As for this senatorial race, I actually hope Lamont wins. I think it will bode ill for Hillary. If the left is really that skewed then all of her posturing to look tough on terrorism will only alienate them in '08. I hope.
