Al Gore warns of pole shift

Al Gore warning of the dangers of the impending pole shift

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore has been touring the world and making presentations of an impending global pole shift.

"The world is in a greater danger now than ever before", Mr. Gore said, "and the time for us to take action is drawing short".

"Any time between now and the year 2012 the earth will shift on its axis, causing massive flooding, worldwide suffering and death."

Mr. Gore also urged action on the part of his audiences, including massive migration of humans from one continent to another to shift the load on the earth and bring it back into balance.

"This truth might be inconvenient, but future generations are counting on us to take action now", he insisted, "and much better to relocate your home now than for your children and grandchildren to lose theirs in the future".

Mr. Gore has also been promoting his newest book, Earth Coming Unbalanced.

Maybe my time here will be short.

That's the first accurate thing you've said yet! Way to go!

As far as the "unbacked assertions," I'm still waiting for you to back up your assertion that mankind is solely responsible for causing an irreversible global warming.

Give me one example. One.

Every single one of your replies -- everyone -- has not cited a single thing to back up what you guys are saying.

I've at least tried to do that. I have many more in a links database. If anyone actually cares to read about the issues -- rather than just spew Hannity-Limbaugh BS, let me know.

I'm not a partisan. I do think GW is an important issues. Just because I agree with Democrats on one thing doesn't make me partison (e.g., I agree with a variety of Republican strategies).

"Who? I'm a scientist myself (though an experimental psychologist)"

lol internet. Are you engaging in the experimental analysis of behavior at the moment?

You're putting words in my mouth. I didn't say that. I've only said that GW has lots of evidence for it, that scientists have some consensus about it, and that it's important.

I did not say "mankind is solely responsible for causing an irreversible global warming."

As some have already remarked, I haven't sufficient satellite data to glean an extensive personal history for each contributor. I can therefore not remark on the rich pattern of environmental contingencies that lead to bare assertions without giving me one solid link that, in an unbiased way, refutes GW.

Give me one.

My personal theory -- not based on fact because it would obviously be impossible to prove -- is that maybe we are just seeing the end of the First Ice Age... (o; Maybe we just got lucky over the last few thousand years.

I read the article. In full. Just because the scientist no longer counts himself as a doubter of GW means zero to me. The facts matter. The fact that he related is that Antarctica has been cooling. Does that mean that the planet is not warming? No. But I'd like to see some conclusive evidence that it IS, and that we are the CAUSE of it, before we throw our entire economy into shambles because Al Gore is paranoid.

In my work I have to attend marine biology seminars and however way beyond my knowledge I have learned some really interesting things.

There is a reason we have soooo much shrimp on the market as much of the higher trophic food chain has been fished into near non existance.

To bad PETA and like groups ruin by the tactics they use to educate the real science of what is going on in our world.

There are sooo many factors though that contribute to change.

I get a kick out of some of the marine scientists I have met and how much they LOVE what they do just as I love what I do. It really is a real passion with them.

I am far from being an expert like I said my job takes me to these events.

Give me one solid link that PROVES mankind is causing GW. Just one.

You can't really prove a negative, remember?

Hey Chicken Little, how do you know that the sky is falling?

Please explain how humans can initiate or prevent a pole shift.

AlGore is Chicken Little as well as political hollow anti-matter. Freepers generally laugh at such nincompoops.

BTW, your brand of neutrality appears to be tantamount to nihilism.

Isn't that what some CRAPOLA purveyors were advocating last month?
