IDF: 400 Hezbollah down, 1200 to go
Israel sends up to 10,000 troops into southern Lebanon
Israeli Commandos Raid Hezbollah Hideout in Baalbek Hospital
They've had since the time of Abraham to get to know one another. I think they know each other quite well. That's the problem. The only thing that the Israeli's could do to please the muzzies is mass suicide and that ain't likely to happen any time soon.
Okay. I'll have to check that with him.
They think that the Israelis are going to occupy the civilian populace of Southern Lebanon, but the IDF will push all covilians out and destroy every bunker they come across. I believe they now have updated intel on the bunker sustems, which is why the waited so long, and now that they have it, the slow methodical destruction of them begins while sending ourt the civilians to the North.
The Israelis are in no hurry, and the troops seem to have a high espirit de corps.
There won;t be any Hezzies marching, they will be running, hiding behind civilians, popping up at night, and driving their ever decreasing supply of launchers around at night.
Once the IDF have reached their destinations, they will secure a line on the Litani likely, and wait to see if the Lebanese army shows up.
Once the line is established, the mop up of any thing in the rear will begin. When it does, thats when the Syrians may try to come into the war, which Israel would love to see,if Syria hands a leg or an arm to Israel, the IDF will reel them in!
This is going to be another war of attrition with the Syrians feeding guerilla fighters into attack Israeli positions before fading away into the night.
Is the Israeli response in Lebanon justified?

Not sure...
Shiites are the bad guys in Iran, the good guys in Iraq....
Yet they also follow the next troublemaker, Sadr.
Aren't Sunnis the good guys in Lebanon, more likely to be secular, not fanatical? Yet they're the ones planting IED and leading murderous militias in and around Baghdad.
That's before we look at the Wahadi's - bin Ladin's group. And what is the make-up of the Muslims in Kosovo who are wiping out any residue of Christian evidence throughout the country side?
Are there ways to more clearly label the good and bad guys? Can we find some that are not religious based?
How come I got the hard question??? lol

Explosion in Golan..Syrian bomb?

is this the same report we heard about a day or two ago about a syrian bomb on a Golan patrol road or is this a new incident that happened today
Please say more, everyone else, too.
I know that I used a very broad brush, but the point is, the labels seem to change for the good and bad guys from place to place.
Can we find ways to better describe the group of trouble makers who only seek our deaths? What were those groups of sets and subsets way back when in algebra classes??
John Gibson is interviewing someone now about who supports Hezzballah. How do we identify who's likely to join them?

Michael Levine, A Hero For All - 1984-2006 (American in the IDF)
His dream was to serve in IDF
US-born Michael Levin shortened family trip in order to come back to Israel and fight. In Lebanon he made the ultimate sacrifice
Eli Senyor
Staff sergeant Michael Levin, 22, announced to his mother already at the age of 16 that he wanted to immigrate to Israel and enlist to a combat unit in the IDF. Four days ago, Michael shortened a trip to the States to visit his family in order to return to Israel and to fight in the north. Tuesday, Michael's mother received the bitter news in Philadelphia: Michael, who followed his dream and enlisted to the paratroopers, was killed in the difficult battle near Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.
Michael immigrated from Mangold, Pennsylvania three years ago, leaving behind his parents and two sisters. He lived in the religious Kibbutz Yavneh, and later, moved to an apartment in Jerusalem with two other soldiers.
War in North
Reut, Michael's friend from the kibbutz, said that he was always funny and friendly: "I met Michael when he immigrated from the US three years ago. When he first arrived, he studied in the ulpan (special class for learning Hebrew) on Kibbutz Yavneh, and that's where I met him. It was very important for him to go to a combat unit in the army, even though he didn't have to enlist. He simply wasn't ready to give up. I remember him as a funny guy, friendly and sweet. He had a lot of friends on the kibbutz, and some that he met in Jerusalem."
A short while ago, Michael received a special discharge from the army in order to visit his family in the United States. Upon hearing news about the outbreak of war in the north, he decided to shorten his vacation, and returned to Israel four days ago. His friends say that he went to his commanders and asked to be sent immediately to the northern border. 'Just a fantastic kid' "Michael was just a fantastic kid who gave his all to the army. He really wanted to be accepted into the commandos. In one of our last conversations he told that he has no problem going through the entire paratroopers track all over again if they would ultimately let him join the commandos. I met his mother in one of his ceremonies. She was worried, but accommodated herself to her son's desire to enlist in the IDF. It was a strong desire that he had from a young age."
Oud goes on to say that the soldier that he himself adopted, Yonatan Marcus, was one of Michael's good friends, and was lightly injured in battle: "Last Saturday Yonatan came to me after returning from battle in Bint Jbeil. He had a very difficult experience there and said that he didn't want to go back until he said goodbye to all his friends. He was traumatized by what he experienced there."
"He, like all the other lone soldiers, cannot comprehend that Michael is no more. They call me and say that they still expect him to just show up. He had a good heart and there isn't one American in Jerusalem that doesn't know him. We lost one of our most optimistic kids. He had his feet on the ground and never hurt anyone."
Pinz, there is no way to seperate them by religion. It's the radical sects within BOTH of them that is causing the problem and how they are manipulated. I am convinced that those who manipulate them are godless and don't follow religion at all except as a sop to the fools who are dumb enough to follow them.
In Iraq, the followers of Al Sistani are peaceful because Sistani is tolerant and peaceful. The Shiia followers of Sadar are radical because Sadar is manipulated from Iran.
The Sunni who are radical follow the Salifast sect. There are peaceful, secular Sunni in Iraq, it's the radicals who cause the problem.
Hizballah is also manipulated by Iran but there are many, many Shiia in Lebanon who follow Sistani.
Do you think Hizbollah will give up its weapons to keep the camps?

Have you seen the video available at cnn.com that the IDF released, showing actual video of the raid of the "hospital" in Baalbeck? Pretty cool. Even some nice video at the beginning showing some bad-guy vehicles getting whacked by Israeli aircraft. The article and video are at http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/08/02/mideast.main/index.html
