IDF: 400 Hezbollah down, 1200 to go
Israel sends up to 10,000 troops into southern Lebanon
Israeli Commandos Raid Hezbollah Hideout in Baalbek Hospital
sufism is mystical, contemplative, and for those searching for deeper meaning, has a certain pull. A lot of Christian traditions don't scratch that itch well in this day and age of feel good spun sugar I'm OK, cause God Loves Me and God is OK type stuff a lot of the less committed churches are passing off as Christianity.
Of course, they don't tell you how Wahabiism is a response against that, and they hate it, too.
If they were our soldiers taken captive, could you ever imagine our country shrugging ...palms up and saying...
"they're just a few low level soldiers"?
Nice work Colonel Nitsan Alon and commandos. Keep it up. Our guys are working hard as well.
I wonder when Madona is gonna get involved in it? lol
If our kids died in bomb blasts, could you imagine some PR person holding their bodies up high and parading them around?
Did anyone hear or read that the raid was intended to get the two hostages out? I thought I heard that they thought they were in the basement. The five that they did capture were sort of an after thought just to shake the Hezzis up.
And I was really sorry to read that 11 more 'civilians' were killed.
About time.

That must give their "low level soldiers" some real confidence knowing that their leaders think they are so disposable.
Pure evil.
The only place I heard that was here. Pure speculation/guessing on the part of a FReeper when the operation started.
(Of course, there were many, many, folks speculating that night!)
You mean Ester, formerly known as the Material Girl?
A French language Lebanese publication, citing an unnamed source in Hezbollah...????????????????
Oh, that's very true - the feel-good or social-activist Protestant Christianity and the secularization of the Catholic Church after VaticanII (although it is rapidly recovering under Benedict XVI) left a lot of seeker types without any guidance.
However, Islam is Islam, regardless of the sect, and while the Wahabbis reject Sufism, they will still accept converts through it - and eventually work to stamp it out. The Muslims were finally driven out of Spain only after the ruling Muslim groups had been attacked and subdued by other Muslims, from North Africa, because the latter group felt that the Spanish Muslims had grown too tolerant and were therefore heretical. This is a constant pattern in Islamic history, starting from its very beginning.
You are right...we should have had them do that...next year...or the next for-sure televised event...we will get them to do that.
Yea, but she got tired of the Jewish thing, can't remember the name of it. Where is a teenager when you need one?
Depends, is Clinton Commander in Chief?
Pinz
Kabala?
