WASHINGTON -- Although U.S. doctors can only speculate on Fidel Castro's health, his self-described symptoms could signal severe ulcers, a colon condition called diverticulosis or, an outside possibility, even cancer.
Whatever the cause, major abdominal surgery in a soon-to-be 80-year-old is risky, made more so if Castro is indeed weakened from prolonged bleeding. Pneumonia, blood clots and other life-threatening complications can crop up in the critical first days of recuperation.

Good one!
So, is the bloody a-hole dead yet?
No worries, he has free health care.
Necrosis of the Soul?
He should undergo vivisection.
I would *love* to see a comparison of the level of care the average Cuban would get with this condition versus what El Jefe is currently receiving.
I hope he dies soon, and when he does, there is a peaceful transition to democracy in Cuba.
It's too bad he doesn't suffer from acute cranial lead poisoning...
This type of recovery in the colon area is very tricky. If you don't have the very top notch know how in the recovery rooms...these patients will die. I've seen it in small town hospitals in the USA. So his recovery is extremely if if...that is if he's not already long dead.
Too bad.
On an unrelated note, does anybody know what the Cuban tradition is if folks are throwing a big party?
The boob tube Guy on ABC news Mon. nite seemed a little put off by the big partying in Miami. All of the MSM is unhappy about the party atmosphere I bet.
Do you agree that this intestinal problem could have been predicted some time ago?
I mean, we've known for years that he was full of s#&t.
May God have NO mercy on his soul. He has shown no mercy to the Cuban people.
Paging Dr. Kevorkian.
135 comes earlier every lifetime.
Why would cancer be an "outside possibility"? Colon cancer was the first thing I thought of.
