The wife and father of kidnapped Israeli soldier Ehud Goldwasser, Karnit, holding a wedding photograph, and Shlomo Goldwasser arrive at Heathrow Airport in London, Monday July 31, 2006. Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers on July 12, triggering an Israeli offensive against Lebanon that has killed hundreds of people, mostly civilians.
Sometimes we get down to 86 but more likely it's just 90.
LOL! The "cryptkeeper!"
Wierd. CNN interviewing a Queen Noor (of Jordan?) but on the bottom of this screen is typed the description:
"Her Majesty, Queen Noor, widow of His Majesty, King XXXX."
Sorry, but I am an American and will never refer to anyone as "Her Majesty" or "His Majesty." Just wierd.
yea, i fear they may be right, take a look at what one poster had to say -
That is my fear. You don't insert a small force to take on the Hez. in their stronghold. The length of the operation and "unprecedented" air cover indicate, to me, that the Israeli's have been unable to extract their soldiers. Air power alone will not hold back Hez. from capturing or killing those soldiers. I fear that the soldiers will all be killed or Hez. will end up with more Israeli prisoners.
same here in the DC area - my central air conditioning is too old I guess and not good enough to handle this because I can feel it straining. I have fans on too!
LOL! I love your sense of humor :o)
An ancient city with spectacular Roman ruins, Baalbek was a former Syrian army headquarters and included the barracks of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards when they trained Hezbollah guerrillas there in the 1980s.
The last time IDF forces were know to have penetrated so far into Lebanon was in 1994, when they abducted Lebanese guerrilla leader Mustafa Dirani, hoping to use him to get information about missing Israeli airman Ron Arad. Dirani was released in a prisoner exchange 10 years later.
Fierce fighting as IDF commandos launch raid deep in Lebanon
Jordan has a full, strong, true monarchy. No one, but no one, disputes the monarch.

Welcome to Houston!
the BAD guys are in fear now,,,,lol,,,
Yes...all is well.
I am glad to hear you are here for a while.
When we didn't see you on the Sunday threads or the Middle East thread...I thought you might be in Saudi Arabia..you had said you were going there...I didn't know if there is a problem posting from there or not.
Hope your stay is a pleasant one...and when you get back on a more regular schedule...you will join us again sometime.
I am hanging around a little later to see what happens in the Baalbeck area.
Please G-d let it be because the boys got out...
Good for them, but I'm not about to call them "His Majesty" or "Her Majesty". "King" and "Queen" will have to suffice.
They won't know what hit them!!
Amen.
My husband thought he heard thunder (how he can hear anything over the basketball game is a mystery) so I just went out too and it's hot as can be.
I don't mind losing power in the winter because we have a fireplace and can stay warm, but I really don't like losing the ac in the summer.
