WASHINGTON, July 29 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, issued the following statement today on the shooting at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle Friday:
"Our prayers go out to the victims of gun violence in Seattle and their families. To the family of the victim who died, we express our deepest condolences. To the victims who are struggling to recover, we offer our hopes for a full recovery.
"This terrible attack appears to have been launched by a deeply troubled person who had shown signs of mental illness, and had run afoul of the law as a result of that mental illness. We, as a society, need to do more to restrict access to firearms to individuals who are exhibiting public recklessness and espousing hatred to people around them."
The point is, if one of the good guys (gals) had been carrying at the Jewish Federation Friday, this could have ended a lot differently, with a dead terrorist instead of one good guy down and five wounded (of course, the MSM would have been howling about "disproportionate response," now their standard whine whenever Jews don't just lie down and die helplessly).
The problem with the Jews' unthinking loyalty to the left is that it can be, literally, suicidal.
I think the Brady Campaign is filled with GLEE every time someone gunned down gets national exposure. They probably pump their arms as they run into a conference room to discuss their statements.
The Brady Campaign once again shows its true colors by not once denouncing this perp as a terrorist. Instead, it says the way to solve such problems is to deprive law abiding people of their protection.
So that currently rules out 90 percent of the Democratic Party.
"Our prayers go out to the victims of gun violence..."
Isn't it terrible the way those poor people became victims of gun violence! Notice they are not victims of a Mohammadan zip wad but of gun violence. The Brady types are so stinking sick.
"Mental illness" is the convenient mode of liberal denial.
The guy was brainwashed into hatred and murder by the mullahs of hatred, regardless of whether he was mentally ill before or after his satanic deed.
It was just a matter of time til the Brady campaign vultures would try to take advantage of the terrorist attack in Seattle.
I'd like to say I'm suprised...but I can't.
FYI
Shooting suspect was baptised (Seattle shooter NOT necessarily a Muslim)

RICHLAND -- Those who knew Naveed Haq said Saturday that to them he was an enigma, a puzzle that they wish they could have solved before his deadly rampage in a Seattle Jewish center. Stunned and saddened by the news, some of Haq's acquaintances recounted many of what they saw as the contradictions of his life........
Maybe I'm the only one, but I read that to say that he advocates only nutcases having firearms.
"Restrict to" is normally followed by the included group, not the excluded group.
How about a compromise, Brady Bunch? How about we restrict access to firearms by Muslims? Instead of abrogating just the Second Amendment, how about we abrogate a bit of the First, and a bit of the Second? How does that sound?
I saw that, and I don't believe it for a minute. Baptize or not, he was brainwashed by the haters.
Works for me.
You can take the boy out of islam, but you can't take islam out of the boy.
I don't know if he was/is or not. And to be perfectly honest I REALLY don't care one way or the other. It appears this guy had...issues, not that it would stop me from dropping a pill on him. The trial is going to go on two years (at least).
No guns for Democrats? Works for me, especially since they don't believe in the 2nd Amendment anyway.
Please see reply 15
I suspect his computer will have a lot of enlightening stuff on it.
Very often, it seems, these lone gunmen/terrorists are immediately dismissed as "troubled" or "off their meds" or whatever to excuse their behavior. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that the case, at least initially(when the public is paying attention) with the shoe-bomber, the Israeli airline counter shooter, the college SUV driver, even with the DC snipers? Here in Greenville, SC we had an Muslim enter a Christian religious center yelling stuff (and he left a briefcase). He was dismissed as "unbalanced" and that was the end of it.
