What is interesting right this very hour is...that Condi has just gotten to the White House to meet with President Bush.
Since she left Israel...and landed in the USA..the Israeli Security council has voted on further attacks...land and aerial...and are NOT going for any cease fire.
Also...Syria is talking about upping their military readiness...
SOOOOOOO..considering Condi made a speech in Israel...saying that "we" hoped to broker a ceasefire by the end of this week...just a little while before Olmert himself said "no way"..
What do we speculate is being said in THAT meeting right this minute???
THAT meeting COULD end up being one of the more important meetings between those two so far.
Just an aside--but as I sit here, I ponder whether Shep is thanking G-d he was brought home...I flash on the scenes of him fliching at each loud noise, and ducking behind a metal folding chair LOL! Meanwhile Jennifer was cool as a cucumber...Yep--I think ole Sheppy boy is delighted to be back in NYC with his "home boys" (no pun intended) ;-)

Kessinger on Wolfie's show right now. Wolfie in typical breathless commentary, asked Dr. Kessinger what he makes of this horrific move by Syria to go on alert status, and what that means for a braoder war! LOL. Dr. Kessinger, in a very calm voice told Wolfie he is full of it, and this is nothing more than posturing for a position/say in the upcoming UN council session on the "peace plan". He is wonderful, really puts WOlfie in his place, and does it so subtly, that I doubt Wolfie even noticed it.

Yep. It never was a cease fire, either...just a shifting of direction, and bought northern Israel a bit of rest.
