Here is also interesting excerpt: “If defending our own values against the radical Islamists is the future of NATO, we must change the way the Alliance is conceived geographically and open its doors to those nations that share our values, that defend them on the ground, and that are willing to join in the fight against jihadism. Thus, NATO should invite Japan, Australia, and Israel to become full members.” “For me, Israel is a vital part of the Western world.” Roger Scruton points out that the UN granted to the Soviet Union “the kind of legitimacy that it could never have acquired through the conduct of its leadership.” “The Soviet Union used the U.N. and its ancillary institutions as a front. It supported the capture of the United Nations Association (an independent nonprofit organization which was founded to rally support for the international idea) by the peaceniks and encouraged the transformation of UNESCO into an instrument of leftist and anti-Western propaganda.” Soviet Communists recognized the UN “only as a way to neutralize Western defenses.” Some would argue that Islamic countries are copying this strategy now. As Scruton states, there is another, more dangerous effect of the UN institutions, and one that is insufficiently pondered by Western politicians:

Islamic countries, nay - any country which harbors terrorists or supports terrorists, should be expelled from the United Nations.
Ambassadors of those nations should be allowed to address the international body, but should not be allowed to vote, or wield influence within the system.
The United Nations was established specifically to promote peaceful interactions between nations. Islamic nations and terror states are not subscribers to that ideal, thus they have no business being members of the UN. The WTO is another world body which should exclude nations with interests that run counter to the founding purpose of the organization.

The term "farewell" generally implies goodwill. In the case of the UN, a more apt phrase might be "go f--k yourself."

Kosovo, which has become a hotbed of international crime and Jihadist activities, could soon become an independent state, courtesy of NATO.

Where art thou, O Hoppie? Tell us how wonderful it is in Kosovo. Declare to us, if thou wilt, how wise the poicies of the wicked and corrupt CLinton administration.

I've got an idea you might want to consider here... Over the past twenty years or thereabouts, I've seen one American politician who might actually be the perfect fit for whatever the main position in our government for dealing with slammites might be: has anybody ever considered putting Janet Reno in charge of slammite relations? All you'd have to do is give her the trigger to about fifty of the ICBMs and tell her that slammites abuse children (you would not be lying)....
