He continually referenced the children almost as if Israel intentionally targeted them. He seems to be more for the hezzies propaganda than for what is right. i wish they would drop him as I can't stand that droning, nasal tone of his.

Look, W has to be seen to be saying something about the situation in order to appease the Israel-haters in the region. This works better than anything else, apparently, and I am sure it has been thoroughly explained to the Israeli government. "Our standard talking point will be to emphasize the need to exercise restraint, meaning, do all you can not to hit civilians," and sotto voce to the Israelis, "We're expediting our next shipment of munitions."
Seriously, the silly dead civilian talk just does not cut it, when their stock and trade is KILLING UNARMED HUMAN BEINGS!

The WH has to tell Israel to show restraint. They are showing restraint, otherwise Lebananon would be flattened already. Israel has asked for 10 to 14 more days to clean up and I'm sure, as we have already seen, that they will be given the time. We cannot have negotiations with terrorists. If Israel loses this so do we. Everytime you hear someone blathering "cease-fire" call them on it. Remind them what started this and what it will take to stop it. Disarm Hezbollah, return soldiers, put in multi-national and Lesbanon forces on the border and kill all Hezzies. This isn't just a war against Israel, this is against the West and our freedoms. This is really starting to sound a lot like the 30's. The Islamic world wants to dominate the Western world and convert all of US, not just some, ALL. Put up or shut up.
They have to say that. It's what's going on behind the scenes that's important.

The Whitehouse has said that they blame Hezbollah for the entire thing. That is about as good of an endorsement as you can get. Bush knows what he is doing. He's publicly urging restraint and care to avoid civie casualties, not only to keep the Arab countries from total meltdown, but also because he does not want to see civiliian deaths if it can be avoided.
there is a reason Lebanon and Iran and Syria and Hezbollah reject what Condi is offering, because it means the end of a hezbollah militia in Lebanon.

Unfortunately, I agree. I have had posts of REAL stories pulled because a live thead had already mentioned a particular fact. ("Duplicate Post- See reply #713 on LIVE THREAD")
I am finding that it is much easier to go to other sites to find up to date stories. Coming back after a long July 4 weekend, I saw that the one of the top "Breaking News" stories of that WEDNESDAY was "Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread." UGH!
