CAIRO, July 30 (Reuters) - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak condemned as "irresponsible" on Sunday an Israeli air strike on the Lebanese village of Qana that killed at least 40 Lebanese civilians, including 23 children.
"The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its profound alarm and its condemnation of the irresponsible Israeli bombing of the Lebanese village of Qana, which resulted in innocent casualties, mostly women and children," a statement from the president's office published by the state news agency MENA said.
The Qana air strike occurred as U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was in Jerusalem on a mission to get Israel and Lebanon to agree on an international force to deploy on the border as part of a ceasefire deal.
The attack prompted Lebanon to tell Rice she was unwelcome in Beirut before a ceasefire.
Mubarak, who had earlier said that Israel's actions had gone "way too far" in Lebanon, repeated an earlier call for an immediate ceasefire and said the calm would pave the way for "diplomatic action to end the causes of the current deterioration".
Who is responsible for the civilian deaths? The Israelis who told its enemy in advance of intentions (a tactical mistake militarily), or the Islamofascist cowards that hind behind their own women and children as they attack Jewish women and children?
Egypt, Jordan, France, Spain, the UN, and all the appeasers will never get it. If the muslims of the middle east would A)recognize Israel's right to exist, and B)Fight like real men instead of hiding behind their own women like cowards, this would not be happening.
Who is responsible? Every muslim that supports hezbollah. every one.

Arabs and Islamics saying thing have gone too far...Puhlese.
The so-called Lebanese "government" is responsible. If their Army cannot of will not control Hizbollah then they are not a sovereign government, and it falls to Israel to do so. Moreover, if a militant group uses their own families or the families of others as human shields, than those families are legitimate targets. This is Islamic War. If we fight it as brutally and unflinchingly as they do, we will crush them. If we hem and haw and have Sec. Rice "deplore" the "loss of innocent life", then we are doomed to failure.
And how about when Egypt killed dozens of those Sudanese refugees in Egypt 6 months ago.
You're told for the past 2 weeks to get out of Dodge, then it's your fault. I still want to know how they got 57 women and children into the ONE house that was targeted. Funny thing, if you watch the Fox tape that's aired 3-4 times this morning you'll see a guy being carried on a stretcher but as the camera starts to pan away, he hops up alive and well.
The usual double-standard?

Wow...I just saw that guy being carried out on a stretcher (judging by the pot belly, he sure hasn't missed any meals lately) but I missed him jumping off the stretcher. I'll have to watch it again for that. Thanks.
"In Cold Blood" Ping
Still not right to knowingly kill innocent civilians if it can be helped, of course. On the other hand, President Mubarak would do us all a favor by pointing out exactly which targets the IAF and IDF should hit.
Of course the big picture issue is whether or not a country's military has the right to hit a population that supports your enemy (an enemy that calls for the annihilation of your country), and enemy that hides among its own civilian population?
If they want to risk the pain of losing their women and children, while they attack "ours", then so be it. Let them feel the pain. They will either learn not to do that, or they will die. The choice is theirs. It always has been. To be so assured they are going to meet allah and receive 72 virgins, they sure are cowards!
How about Mubarak condemn suicide bombing, instead?
Sometimes the body on the stretcher really is dead you know. Else the IAF/IDF are terribly bad shots.
He can do it ~ has his spies among them.
It can be helped. The "holy warriors" who are assured of victory by allah, can come out from behind their women and children and fight honorably.
Every civilian that dies in this war, is the fault of hizbollah and its supporters. Israel would not kill a SINGLE civlian if hezbollah did not hide. Therefore, the blame is on Hezbollah. No one else's.
"I said that we would abduct Israeli soldiers,
in meetings with some of the main political leaders in the country (Lebanon).
I don't want to mention names now, but when the time comes to settle accounts, I will."
Who really cares what they think?
Not to mention- nary a word about how the HUZZIES just shoot into Israeli towns TARGETING civilians and not military targets....
they hypocrisy would be laughable if not how pathetically sad it is for all these deaths...
this is not a joke- it is not a chess game - and I am sick of the Media and the so-called leaders of the world acting like this War is nothing more than an opportunity for them to get attention and ratings....
This is a GLOBAL WAR- and is going to get worse until the media wakes the hell up....
/rant off.....I need coffee
I was surprised to hear On cnn i think , Why was there no men in the death toll ? Maybe because these are hezbollah wives and kids ????????
