A 30-year-old Pakistani man, announcing he was a Muslim and angry about Israel, pulled out a gun in the Seattle Jewish Federation today and shot six people, one dead.

The gunman, identified by law enforcement sources as Naveed Afzal Haq, 30, reportedly lives in Pasco, Washington and has a charge of lewd conduct pending against him in Benton County, Washington. He reportedly is a U.S. citizen.
According to several witnesses, the Haq got through security and announced to staff members: "I'm a Muslim American; I'm angry at Israel." He immediately began shooting randomly with a semiautomatic 9-mm handgun at the 18 employees and visitors in the offices.
The Seattle Times reports the gunman shot ordered a receptionist to call 911 after he shot her.
"He told the police that it was a hostage situation and he wanted us to get our weapons out of Israel," one of the wounded workers said.
FBI spokesman David Gomez said officials believe the suspect acted alone and is not affiliated with a foreign organization.
Haq's father was a founding member of the Islamic Centre of Tri-Cities in Richland. He and his wife moved to Pasco three years ago.
According to Chris Richey of Everett, Haq had been his neighbor until two weeks ago, when he abruptly moved. The landlady at their apartment told Richey Haq was going to Pakistan. Haq spoke often about guns and politics, said Richey, and didn't like President Bush.
A law-enforcement source said Haq had a licence to carry a concealed weapon.
Attorney Larry Stephenson, who is representing Haq on a misdemeanor lewd conduct charge for allegedly exposing himself in a public place, said his client had been scheduled for trial last Thursday, but the action was postponed. Haq is not married, has no children and no job, Stephenson said.
Stephenson refused to disclose any mental-health issues his client might have. "I'm really not OK to discuss that," he said.
A hospital spokesman said five women were brought in, and three of them are in critical condition. Three are in their 20s, one is 19 and the other is 43. The 43-year-old was shot in the abdomen. One of the victims is in her 17th week of pregnancy.
A joint terrorism task force joined SWAT teams and a bomb disposal unit at the scene.
"Throughout the city, we have directed all our patrol officers to monitor closely all synagogues and other Jewish organizations, and we have also advised neighboring agencies in the Puget Sound area to do the same," said Nick Metz, Seattle Police Department.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle says on its Web site that its mission is to "ensure Jewish survival and enhance the quality of Jewish life locally, in Israel and worldwide."
The FBI has labeled the shootings a "hate crime" based on what the gunman told police in a 911 call, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported.

Why all the lies from the media, the FBI, the government? First of all, they are up against the bloggers and FR, so they don't have a chance to hide stuff, really. Second, clarity is so important when facing an enemy.
I just don't understand why the FBI would avoid the Truth. They WANT the country to go down without a whimper?
#1) Anyone not of my religion MUST be killed or enslaved.
#2) Nobody is allowed to leave my religion punishable by death.
#3)Anyone critical of my religion must be killed.
Would I be able to create such a religion and receive all benefits and protections offered to actual religions. Tell my why my religion is not the same as Is-Slime.
Two questions:
1. How did this guy ever get a concealed carry license?
2. Having been charged with another crime, why did he still have the weapon?

But the fact is that this happened, predictably, in one of the more "tolerant", i.e., weak, areas of our country, in the same sense that a leak starts in a weak area of your roof. By the time you recognize that there is a leak -- and we all know that this incident will not be recognized as such -- a lot of the structure has been damaged.
The bell curve of acceptable behavior is either flattening out or shifting. Social behavior that was simply inconceivable twenty years ago became virtually impossible, then wildly improbable, through many levels of ever-so-slightly-increasing possibility, and now this has happened. It might have been a ten-million-to-one chance that this would happen on any given day in the past five years but we all know that these probabilities are growing shorter and that Muslim-instigated hate crimes are rising.
Does anybody remember the organized destruction in Oakland, CA back in December, by the "members" of Your Black Muslim Bakery? That's another "weak" city as far as morals and crime are concerned.
We can believe that these two incidents are unrelated if we like. They are miles and months apart, one victim was a Jew and one victim was not, one attack was by a single person and one was by a group, one was in a black ghetto and one was in a white neighborhood.
But they are all cut from the same cloth, so to speak. The effects of the psychosis of Islam are becoming more manifest in the U.S. The nature of rare events is that the relationship between these two incidents doesn't "prove" that the next one will happen somewhere less than seven months from now, or be more spontaneous, or directed more randomly, but I fear that before too long we will be suffering these "unique" incidents at a rate that will make it hard for us to even keep track of the specifics of each one.

Actually I am quite surprised that both of Seattle's major newspapers have explicitly named him as a Muslim on the front page (at least on the online editions). I would have expected more denial. Maybe they are learning?

You live in Tri Cities? We used to live there. It is scary to know they are hunkered down there, with all the atomic/ security clearance stuff STILL going on there. Kind of like finding a mosque in Los Alamos. Coincidence? I hardly think so.
Right. Their "purity" is a myth -- sex is on their minds 12/7 with the other 12 occupied by hatred. What does it say about them that they insist on women being veiled because otherwise they'd be too big a temptation to resist? They ostensibly go to strip clubs to reinforce their notion that Western culture is corrupt and women are evil --but in fact, they're getting off on it.
And this creep got off on shooting women. What a metaphore!
Meanwhile back in the madrassas, the imams cleverly subvert young mens' powerful natural sexual urges and interests and redirect them into hatred. They know exactly what they are doing. In a wicked and perverse sense, the Koran is muslim sex ed.
