Ann Coulter just on Cavuto being interviewed.
She wanted to "remind the viewers" that the normal election cycle is for the party in the White House to lose seats. She expects this election to be one where Republicans lose seats. She added "a lot of seats" before Neil moved on to another question.

is 8 a lot? In the House?
Here's a comment: So What?
Historical patterns are that what Ann said is true.
Ann is great but on this I would have to disagree mainly because the Democrats have no plan or ideas.
Thankfully, I have zero faith in Coulter's predictive powers.
JC Watts just said he believes the republicans will lose seats in the house on Sean Hannity.
The real question is:
Will it make any difference in what comes out of DC?
Yeah, the word seems to be out today: Rush said today (unless I misheard him) that the GOP will lose thirty seats minimum. Apparently, the base is pissed off about immigrantion, spending, and other stuff.
This means that with the Dems in control of the House, Conyers will lead a move to impeach Bush. It's gonna be a difficult two years.
Coulter?
Isn't she an expert on latent homosexuality?
Yes,
remember what happened after the 64 and 74 elections when liberals were elected in droves, it brought us Medicare and more socialism.
I think they are scared based on private GOP polling, and they are trying to scare the angry base that is threatening to stay away. It's a game of chicken they play. "Sure we suck, but will you really be happy with Dems in our place?"
It's political smartness to say you are going to lose seats, then if you do, you defuse the MSM who will jump on this...then if you do NOT lose seats, or lose FEWER than you predicted you can say that you actually did better than expected.
Not surprised, and likely correct.
Translation: "Get your a** in gear and rally the troops or we're going to lose."
When did he say that?
Do regular historical patterns behave the same way in war time?
We appear to have a stiffer backbone out of power anyway.
Rush reported today that Bob Novak had interviewed a very influential Republican (with a committee chairmanship) in the house who said internal party polling indicated the Republicans could easily lose up to 30 seats. Republicans have abandoned the conservative base and will receive their just desserts come November. Sadly, it's got to get worse before it gets better. Let's just hope the Republicans learn this lesson.
