Did these State troopers steal money out of my pocket?
Or was it our gun-grabber governor who also grabbed my money?
We need to return to a concept of crimes that have victims being more serious than victimless crimes.

Was it a rifle or a machine gun? Dumb ass liberal media don't know squat about things they oppose.

In his plea, Mugge admitted to knowing his possession of the rifle was unlawful. He had it, he knew he had it, he knew it was illegal; and people think the law should be ignored because he's a "Trooper"?!? What other laws can he ignore? We either have laws, or we do not. If we have laws, they are enforced equally across the board; or we have anarchy. I'd say he made a STUPID decision.

Glad to hear that the Illinois boys got tangled up in their own state laws.
The ones they LOVE to enforce.

I dont have an issue with them having the guns. I have an issue with them getting special treatment. The rest of us would in chains.

He has a Constitutional right to own that gun. The real criminals are the politicians who subverted the Constitution to make some guns illegal.

Oh my, for a mere $300 (I think) a federal firearms stamp could have been purchased for lawful possession.

authorities seized Mugge's unregistered Colt .2234 caliber rifle from his home in Jerseyville."
The Colt M-16 is not a machine gun.
The M-60 is a machine gun, belt fed.
The 20mm is a mounted machine gun. This is the one you need to bolt the mount to the floor of your pick-up. Or you will crash through the rear window and fly through the front window of your pick-up with the first shot. Those are the belt-driven ones. And those shells are BIG.

The Police officers are also going to be charged in Illinois for possessing assault weapons and automatic weapons *(25+ years in Illinois, and there is no double jeporady between state and federal courts)

They're cops, aren't they entitled to own heavy weapons? /sarc

I love the posters that come on these threads proclaiming to be gun enthusiasts, NRA Life Members and big Second Amendment supporters. Then they spout off nonsense like, "I own N guns of type A, B and C. If I was King, Americans would only be allowed to own at most N guns of type A, B or C. Why would anyone need N+1 guns of type D, E or F?"
PS. In Great Britian, they are now down to about x guns of type "A", where x is a really small number.
