I think Iraq and now Lebanon '06 is the beginning of the acceptance of common wisdom that Mosques are now a strategic element of militant islamic war infrastructure and should be considered as such by defense planners (and the U.N., media, etc.) Kinda makes that next zoning board meeting more interesting, eh?

Probably a dumb question, but here goes. I know that Israel cannot clear out all opposition from the air alone and that there are deep Hezbollah bunkers, but why can't Israel use more power weapons such a fuel air explosives/over pressure bombs or MOABS to obliterate some of these villages and not fight house to house?

They fight on the battlefield. If they can't, they retreat but not to mosques>>>>>>
I have seen real time video footage of laser directed fire that turns these words into an OUTRIGHT LIE of Taqquiyah or deception.
The secondary explosions told the tale.

But Komati denied fighters were taking cover in a mosque and suggested they may be civilians. "Fighters don't take shelter in mosques. They fight on the battlefield. If they can't, they retreat but not to mosques." Well, yes, but...
Rahhal, the Hizbullah spokesman, angrily responded to a question about the mosque refuge. "What's the Israeli's business that our fighters were in the mosque? Maybe they were praying at the time!"

Hizbollah will keep coming on, as they will otherwise lose their (undeserved) reputation as having forced Israel out of Lebanon. And pieces of Hizbollah will rain for days.

Yeah. Right. Uh-huh. Liar, lair, pants on fire, Komati! Next thing this heathan will be saying that the "fighters" never, ever take shelter in schools, hospitals, old folks homes, churches, and never, ever hide behind women, children, civilians, store weapons in civilian areas! Komati can go stick his lying face in a litter box that hasn't been cleaned in two weeks.
