Four men accused of using the Internet to solicit sex from minors were arrested during a two-week undercover operation by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott's office. Arrested in July were: 25-year-old William Noel Shrum of The Woodlands; 26-year-old Guadalupe ``Wally'' DeLaGarza the third of College Station; 40-year-old Robert Wayne Ramirez of Needville; and 51-year-old Calvin Hoddy Hannah Junior of Owasso, Oklahoma. That's what the A-G's office announced in a news release Tuesday. All four were lured to Shenandoah, Texas, by investigators in the A-G's office who posed as minors on the Internet. De La Garza allegedly engaged in sexual conversations on Myspace-dot-com with an undercover investigator he thought was a 14-year-old girl. The news release says he was arrested for attempted sexual assault of a minor and the unlawful carrying of a weapon after arriving in Shenandoah with condoms, a digital camera, rope restraints and a handgun. Shrum, Ramirez and Hannah were all arrested for attempted sexual assault of a child and online solicitation of a minor. Hannah drove 480 miles from Owasso to Shenandoah for the meeting
The internet. Where the men are men and the 15 year-old girls are FBI agents.
Four less RAT voters in November ping!
I bet 99.99% of the lesbians in the lesbian chat rooms are men.
"These idiots just don't get it. At least go to a bar and find a woman, not an underaged child. What is it with these buffoons?"
Criminal master minds. All of the publicity on the news about perps getting busted and these chumps just can't figure it out.

Uggh! He kind of resembles that political pervert, bob shrum. I wonder if they're related? Regardless, they're both losers.
Like shooting fish in a barrel. Tell me, what 14 year old girl wants to get it on with a balding, paunchy 40+ year old man? Exactly. None! They are all FBI agents!
I have no sympathy for these guys. Their family and children, yes but not these morons themselves.
It is always entertaining to watch their lives crumble around them because they wanted to bang a teenager.
I wonder if I could get a part-time gig as a 15-year-old girl. I don't know if I can bear to misspell the necessary number of words (90%).
Shrum...is a Church Custodian.
Shenandoah police and investigators, posing as 13- and 14-year-old girls with profiles on MySpace.com and other social networking sites, snared a Woodlands church custodian, a Texas A&M University graduate student, a long-haul truck driver and an Oklahoma man.

Oh, don't worry about misspellings, just use a lot of emoticons and abbreviate everything.
Let's see, a straw man, a tin man, a cowardly lion, and
an Oklaho-man....
I was being tongue-in-cheek about the church custodian being related to the RAT political gunslinger, that helped run sKerry's campaign into the ground, Robert Shrum.

What? The internet is not just crawling with 14 year old girls who want to meet pudgy, bald old men for sex?
I have my two 11 year old granddaughters visiting with me this week. Last night they were watching an old rerun of Roseanne, don't ask me why, poor taste I guess. Dan and Roseanne kissed and both girls let out a big yuk at the same time. I asked them why the "yuk". Their answer - "old people kissing".
Tips from Cyber-Smart Kids
As I surf the 'Net, I promise never to reveal to someone I meet online my real name, address, telephone number, or the school I attend or give out my photograph. I promise to be sure that I am dealing with someone that my parents know and trust before giving out any personal information about myself online.
I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do, I will tell my parents right away so that they can contact our internet service provider.
I will be careful when someone offers me something for nothing online, such as gifts and money. I will be very careful about any offers that involve my going to a meeting or having someone visit my house. And I will tell my parents about these offers.
I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents. If my parents agree to the meeting, I will be sure that it is in a public place and I will bring my mother or father along.
I will always tell my parents if anything I find online bothers me so they can contact our internet service provider.
No one should ever ask me to keep secrets from my parents. If someone I meet online asks me to keep a secret from my parents, I will tell my parents.
I pledge to remember that people online may not be who they seem. Because I can't see or even hear the person it would be easy for someone to lie. For example, someone indicating that "she" is a "12-year-old-girl" could, in reality, be an older man.
I will talk with my parents so that we can set up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of day that I can be online, the length of time I can be online, and appropriate websites for me to visit. I will not access other websites or break these rules without their permission.
If someone is on my e-mail "buddy list," "friend list," or "contact list" and I only know that person online, he or she is someone I should be cautious about because I don't know him or her well. I pledge to wait to get to know my "online friends" just as I get to know all of my other friends. I need to let my parents know who my "cyber friends" are.

OK, they're slime--but this borders on "thoughtcrime" to my way of thinking. Usually we wait until an actual crime is committed before we arrest the criminal, no?
