Apparently "we" were not carefully monitoring "our" oxygen levels at the time.

... a tripod and an open shutter on the moon at night would get you pictures of stars.

My point is, however, that photographs taken by astronauts do not show stars. That was the original context of my statement. The point is that the UFO seen by the astronauts would not likely show up on any photographs. Unless it was close enough or large enough to be identified.

They did. I saw it on a documentary. The astronaut in the ship took a video shot of something shooting out of a moon crater. Pretty interesting.

Actually, I thought they saw them lined up on a nearby ridgeline, watching them. And at some point we were warned off.

You don't see stars on the moon in the daytime? The sky is just black? Did not know that.

Have you ever been to an outdoor stadium or amphitheatre on a clear night? The stars are still there, but they're hard to see when everything around is brightly illuminated. That's what happens on the moon in the daytime, where you find the clearest, darkest sky you've ever seen and the brightest sunlight you've ever seen at the same time.
