My point is, however, that photographs taken by astronauts do not show stars. That was the original context of my statement. The point is that the UFO seen by the astronauts would not likely show up on any photographs. Unless it was close enough or large enough to be identified.

Fair enough. I must admit that it is harder than I thought to get stars in a photo whether you're doing it on Earth or on the moon or in space.
