Then again, if the IDF did a good job of isolating the battlefield, they may not have left them any other choice. That's what I thought.
We may be witnessing that tactic known as the "artillery flush."

They have no artillery - the IDF can sit back and pound them at will.

I think I get the general idea, but could you please explain?

You seal all the escape routes, then fire a 12 x 12 (this was called a rolling barrage in WWI) until you dig a 40' deep crater throught the entire impact area.

In the good old days when I was a youngster, we use to play army. Sad to say, these days some kids aren't playing.

Let's hope that the bunker-busters that Israel ordered from us was rushed there aboard a C-17. Drop shipment!

Israel is not trying to set up a friendly government hence their methods are not of much value to the US in Iraq.

"Hezbollah admitted in a statement Sunday that IDF troops had taken over the village, but called the move a defeat for Israel. "
This is a standard middle east propaganda technique for the past 4 to 5 millenia. Assyrian or Babylonian Kings would record (on clay tablets) victories "won" progressively closer to their capital city. The only way to interpret this is that their army was in full retreat and the reign of the king and subsequent tablets would soon come to an end. May it be so for Hezbollah.

"I have probably seen 10 times more injured Lebanese babies on CNN than all the Israeli civilian and military dead and wounded casualties put together."
This reporting from the same crowd who protested and coined the phrase "baby killers" of our American serviceman who bravely fought in the Vietnam conflict. These people want to enjoy the benefits that freedom provides but will aid our enemies. What a crazy world it has become.

May it be so for Hezbollah. From your keyboard to God's ears.
Terrorists who target innocent civilians are worse than rabid dogs. The only way to handle them is to end their sorry lives with armed force applied firmly and often.

Sounds like a target-rich environment. The islamics have a fetish for bombs so let's see how much they like Rockeye 500-lb cluster bombs.

The USAF should get a piece of this action:
