Hezbollah terrorists fire a missile from the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.
Yep. I got Netflix to see a long list of "oldies" you can't get in the rental stores. When I'd worked through those, though, I decided to do B5 from the beginning, renting only one DVD at a time, and tracking his old Usenet posts as I go along. I'm behind -- a whole DVD to watch & return to get on schedule -- but it's been a great release from work and war, and I've gained a new appreciation for the task they faced...
Delenn and I could have started something really cool, too...
I agree. I think it's keeping Iran at bay as well. They can't cross Iraq to get into it. They know there are a lot of U.S. troops and artillery in the way and for all their talk, I think they respect that somewhat.
thank you!
" You know, Ist contact isn't what it used to be".
Damned straight.
Damned shame, too. Back in the old days, if Phasers-on-stun didn't fix things, we didn't have to fiddle around with all this "proportional" crap and being careful not to offend anyone -- we'd assimilate the b*stards, or let Garibaldi space 'em.
Travel warnings are posted on this thread at (2004) #405 and (2000) #410, but the ones I remember were actually posted on a thread(s) about the current evacuation effort.
"Open the pod bay door Hal"... WOOOOOOOOOOOSH..... "Close the pod bay door Hal".
Same meat different gravy.
And you'll see that I thought I remembered seeing warnings posted and said so. But by all means develop a snarky tone; it's about all you can do.
A psychopath
"Bin Laden is a schoolboy in comparison with Mughniyeh," says an Israeli who knows Mughniyeh . "The guy is a genius, someone who refined the art of terrorism to its utmost level. We studied him and reached the conclusion that he is a clinical psychopath motivated by uncontrollable psychological reasons, which we have given up trying to understand. The killing of his two brothers by the Americans only inflamed his strong motivation."
And they think this person is the one who kidnapped the Israeli soldiers. God help those poor young soldiers.
"As long as Russia is able to get away with playing friendly while systematically doing everything possible to weaken us through business deals and UN dealings- everyone else will feel comfortable doing the same."
Excellent, with all that's going on in the world I wouldn't have thought of that but you're right, they have been on both sides of the fence. "Know thy enemies"...hmmm
Thank you
I borrowed it from someone else...I wish I could read it.
WOW...that is amazing...keep that story handy...it should be shouted from the rooftops NOW..with all of the sickening "bring the troops homes" attitude in Washington right now..
WE need to have the TRUTH out, about how many times WE screwed up.
Considering what Mark Ginsberg said last night about that Mug guy, and all of the information you two have provided just in the last few posts here...
Do you think that we should have some sort of thread or place to put all information, threads, articles etc about that guy...for freepers like ME that are just now getting to "know" him???
I am not sure how to go about it...but I have a feeling he is going to be VERY important in the future...
Any ideas?
I think we need to be on the lookout for any articles about this guy...he is getting ready to be FAR more talked about than Bin Ladin..I betcha.
