Kerry vs. Rush (Kerry blasts Limbaugh in typical Lurch style)
The Forward ^ | July 23, 2006

Posted on 07/23/2006 6:25:41 PM PDT by new yorker 77

Senator John Kerry quickly issued a statement Friday blasting Rush Limbaugh for asserting during his Friday broadcats that "liberals have hated Israel for the longest time and want to destroy it." Here it is:

"Rush Limbaugh’s ignorance and willingness to divide Americans knows no bounds. His latest statement about Israel is beyond offensive to all of us who have fought to protect Israel in the face of enemies committed to its destruction.

"Rush Limbaugh needs to pick up a history book instead of a donut. It was a Democratic president who first recognized the State of Israel. It was a Democratic President who first sold Israel defensive weapons. And it was a Democratic President who first sold Israel offensive weapons.

"The people of Israel and the Jewish community don’t need Rush Limbaugh to tell them who stands with them, and no one has time for right wing trying to score cheap political points while Israel fights to defend its very existence."

Peas in a pod... Bill O'Reilly had this to say about liberal Jews and Israel. It sounded familiar -- and then it hit me: Rush!

No...I'm right...you're wrong...and you can take your superior attitude and shove it.

Well, the mods haven't pulled this article, so I would say they do not agree with you. Many people view this site at different times of day & don't have time to read thru all the previous posts, so we appreciate it being right up there on the front page!

Well, all I can say is, thank God, the Democrats didn't train Israel in the the art of warfare, too.

I make two observations:

1) John Kerry married a rich Jewish heiress of the Heinz fortune, who has no hesitation about tugging on Kerry's leash. We should thank her for that, if for nothing else.

2) Howard Dean is married to a wonderful Jewish country doctor who has more sense in her little finger than Dean, Vermont's Village Idiot, has in his whole body.

Both Kerry and Dean must be very careful about what they say about Israel, or neither man will continue to receive his weekly allowance.

For this reason you v=cannot believe anything either man says about the Israeli/Hezbollah conflict, in terms of a coherent Democrat position.

The Dems so badly want to diss Israel but they cannot do so because of Schumer,Feingold, and a cottery of Jewish wives.

Another schism in the Dimwit party is about to happen. Murtha is prepared to pontificate about getting our troops into Lebanon.

I bet Kerry "has a plan" for peace in the Mid-east.

"a cheating, lying, self-absorbed fraud"

Isn't it amazing that J. F-ing almost became president?

The Democrats are dangerous and if we hope to survive, we must do everything possible to keep them out of power.

"If I was president, this wouldn't have happened," said Kerry during a noon stop at Honest John's bar and grill in Detroit's Cass Corridor.

"The president has been so absent on diplomacy when it comes to issues affecting the Middle East," Kerry said. "We're going to have a lot of ground to make up (in 2008) because of it."

"This is about American security and Bush has failed. He has made it so much worse because of his lack of reality in going into Iraq.…We have to destroy Hezbollah," he said.

Kerry has acknowledged that his explanation of his Iraq war votes was "one of those inarticulate moments."

Aug. 9, 2004, when asked if he would still have gone to war knowing Saddam Hussein did not possess weapons of mass destruction, Kerry said: “Yes, I would have voted for the authority. I believe it was the right authority for a president to have.” Speaking to reporters at the edge of the Grand Canyon, he added: “[Although] I would have done this very differently from the way President Bush has."

In May 2003, at the first Democratic primary debate, John Kerry said his vote authorizing the president to use force was the “right decision” though he would have “preferred if we had given diplomacy a greater opportunity.”

But then in January 2004, Kerry began to run as anti-war candidate, saying, "I don't believe the president took us to war as he should have."

The Israeli Security Fence

In October 2003, Kerry said Israel’s unilateral construction of a security fence was “a barrier to peace.”

“I know how disheartened Palestinians are by the decision to build the barrier off the Green Line," he told the Arab American Institute National Leadership Conference. “We don't need another barrier to peace. Provocative and counterproductive measures only harm Israelis.”

But less than a year later, in February 2004, he reversed himself, calling the fence "a legitimate act of self-defense," and saying "President Bush is rightly discussing with Israel the exact route of the fence to minimize the hardship it causes innocent Palestinians.”

So a story titled "Kerry vs. Rush" was previously discussed.

So, I posted a comment there and so did others. I thought people who were new to the story, such as yourself, might be interested. But I guess not, at least in your case.

Here are my thoughts on the subject.

Rush hits it right on the head again. I can tell you that Rush knows a keck of a lot more than John Kerry.

John Kerry, Chris Dodd and their ilk come up here claiming to speak for the vast majority of Americans. Well, the reality is they don't.

And, I for one don't much care for any lecturing or holier-than-thou I know better than you B.S. and C.F. from this sorry lazy miserable good for nothing P.O.S. from Mass. Thank G-d we're living in George Bush's America, NOT John Kerry's.

Oh and BTW, Kerry where's your form 180?
Regards.

"Clinton and Arafat discuss ways to help Israel."

"Rush Limbaugh needs to pick up a history book instead of a donut."

- Just another small minded, off topic remark by Lurch to again demonstrate why he is unfit for high office. Can you imagine a President who openly belittles those people with whom he disagrees by trying to disparage their personal appearance?
Say what you like about Bush's faults but he would never dream of sinking to Kerry's level when it comes to this kind of snicker/smear remark.

"Gee, I wonder what Rush is going to talk about tomorrow?"

- I'm not sure but you can be certain that Rush has had his researchers combing Lurch's voting record for any positions that he may have taken in the past (and he's taken them all) so he can factually paint Lurch as a hypocrite when it comes to supporting Israel.

Doesn't a United States senator have better things to do then get in a pissing match with a talk show host ???

In Kerry's case - NO! He's just marking time till vacation on the Vineyard or one of Teresa's other multimillion getaway locations.

From your link:

As I approached the crowd I was confronted by Noah Cohen, [who's Marxist screeds are legend, and who feels Noam Chomsky isn't sufficiently anti-Zionist], who is the husband of Lana Habash [a physician who was quoted as stating that the bombing of Jerusalem Bus#19 was a justifiable act of resistance -- Together, Cohen and Habash run the New England Committee to Defend Palestine,

With Jewish friends like that, Israel doesn't need Arab enemies.

Notice that all of Kerry's references to Democrat support for Israel are WAAAYn the past.

Exactly. Rush is going to have a field day with this, citing tons of anti-Israel evidence in more recent times. To paraphrase an old Kerry flipflop, Dems supported Israel before they didn't support it.
