LEBANESE Foreign Minister Fawzi Sallukh said today that the two Israeli soldiers captured by Hezbollah were "in good health" and called on the UN or any other third party to help start negotiations for a prisoner exchange.
"The Israeli soldiers are in good health and in a safe place," Mr Sallukh, who is close to the Lebanese Shiite militant Hezbollah, said.
Sallukh called on "the United Nations or any third friendly party to engage in discussions for a prisoners' exchange."
Hezbollah has demanded the release of Arab prisoners held in Israeli jails in return for the two servicemen whose capture on July 12 unleashed a punishing Israeli assault on Lebanon
So that pretty much confirms that the Lebonese government has decided to be complicit in kidnapping, and therefore actually HAVE committed an act of war against Israel.
The Labanese "government" was happy to let Hez thugs rule in southern Lebanon to take care of the Israelis while they busied themselves with the drug trade and every kind of vice you can think of. That's why Beirut was such a popular tourist spot.
Last night, CNN interviewed the head of the now-bombed Hez TV network. He said they were sure the international outcry would force Israel into a cease fire and a prisoner exchange, as it did the last three times that Hamas or Hezbollah captured Israeli soldiers. This cannot be allowed to happen this time. These thugs need to learn that their "cradle to grave" socialist gravy train for Muslims in south Lebanon, funded by Iran, has been blown up this time.
Oh come now. Just because Hezbollah has seats in their legislature doesn't mean they have any links with the government. /s
I agree, negotions should immediately start with 500 pound bombs!
I'll only believe that when I see video of the Israeli soldiers discussing last nights Red Sox loss and Yankees win, including who got the win and who hit homeruns.
The number of games the Red Sox lead in the standings would help too.
Boy talk about the Lebanese Government wanting it both ways...they don't have any control over Hezbollah yet they certaintly can speak on their behalf.
No problem. Here's the deal: you have 24 hours to return the 2 hostages or we will carpet bomb Lebannon back into the stone age. Hostages, Civilians, Hezbollah, and all.
Have a nice day.
What part of" There aint gonna be no prisoner exchange" does this fool not understand.??
Hizballah captured a couple of innocent soldiers and wants to exchange them for 100's of murdering convicted killers and its not going to happen.
Israel and the Iraqui's and the US for that matter ,who capture terrorists should have learned years ago to execute them fast before they become pawns in games such as this.
First the Iranian Pres. Armahitlerhadji begs for UN intervention and now this...I guess the Hezzbullah are getting a little more than they bargained for.
There's no reason to pretend the nation of Lebanon is not an active participant in the hostilities against Israel. Give 'em hell, IDF!
then lets see a proof of life picture of them holding todays newspaper...

Prior to this statement there was the POSSIBILITY of plausible immunity.
Now there is NONE.
absolutely... but it's just their word they're alive till we get proof of live.
Arabs never lie, do they?
Where's the proof of life? Words mean crap.
"The Israeli soldiers are in good health and in a safe place," Mr Sallukh, who is close to the Lebanese Shiite militant Hezbollah, said.
Prove it, ass clown!
