Reporting of all "livestock" is already required under most state's property tax laws, isn't it?

Are they trying to fix something that isn't broke??

Wisconsin is governed by the presidium in Moscow on Mendota, otherwise known as Madison; however, as America's Nanny Staters continue to make inroads on what were once individual liberties, this sort of thing may be coming to a legislature near you.

Sally didn't register her premises – and became an outlaw by doing nothing.

Gun registration, ex-post-factor offender registration, now livestock registration.

We're doing it to ourselves, folks.

If the outlaw livestock, only outlaws will carry livestock.

Are they trying to fix something that isn't broke??

No, they are trying to ever-expand the beaurocracy. In this grasp of power by the present gum't, in the name of "Patriot" and "Liberty" has revealed the great disdane for legal process.

They pontificate about fixing a problem by passing a rule or law, then they don't bother to fund it. Look for the Pubbie Label. I gave mine back!

Sorry, but this isn't the doing of the nanny staters in Wisconsin. This is nationwide. If you own 1 chicken or 1 cow or 1 goat, or 1 horse, you're going to end up paying through the nose for the "priviledge" of continuing to do so. Any time you move the animal off your property, you'll have to file notice with the state. For example, lets say you own a horse, and want to take him to a show, or even just go riding off your property. According to the regulations being pushed from Washington, you'll have to file forms with the government.

Also, the way the regulations were written in Texas, (and probably other states), there is nothing to keep them from including your dog and/or cat in these regulations. If you call them up, they'll claim, "no dogs and cats aren't a part of it", but when you press them, if you do so hard enough, you can get them to admit that the way the law was written, your dog, cat, or parrot would be subject to these regulations. That they aren't currently requiring you to chip your dog is entirely at their descretion.

Don't you just love it when the state and big agro is looking out for you?

"Hey Diana - I didn't know you were a gramma!"

Well, I haven't checked in with Sonny this week...so I could be on my way to being one, LOL! (Please, God! Noooooo!)

As I 've said before, "On the day they come to tag my chickens, that day immediately becomes 'Butchering Day.'"

Excuse my French, but F-Them.

Well dang. Seems they're taking this awfully serious. There might be a real ugly conflict coming my way when this sh*t becomes mandatory :-(
