As always, you can request music on the thread by pinging laurenmarlowe. There are many Canteen Deejays and everyone loves to play music for our Troops and everyone else. Laurenmarlowe is the one responsible for music requests unless you have a specific requests for our Troops for a particular Canteen Deejay. Please note that in your post when asking for a song from another Canteen Deejay. This is to keep from wasting bandwidth and time. Thank you!!
Also, we strongly encourage everyone to support all the artists you will hear playing in the Canteen. All the links are provided at the top of the thread. We also offer jukeboxes! As always, the music content is of a wide range of selections and parental attention to any children listening to the music is advised. Most of the material is meant for our Troops aged 18 and up, but we are mindful that children can also be listening and have selections that are okay for them.

Developed from the twin engine Avro Manchester the Lancaster with it's four Rolls-Royce Merlin engines had a top speed of almost 300mph and a payload around 18,000lbs. Flown by 617 Squadron, perhaps better know as "The Dam Busters" the Lancaster played the key role in the breaching of the Ruhr Dams as well as delivering the coup-de-grace to the battleship Tirpitz.
7366 Lancasters were built for the RAF and allies but only two remain flyable today. So on with the pics.
First up a head on pic from the 1940s.
A really nice nose close up of the Royal Air Force's Battle of Britian Memorial Flight Lanc.
Port side inflite view of the Lancaster "Still Going Strong"
And the starboard side view of "Still Going Strong"
The Lancaster of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Musuem in flight with a Canadian CVF-18 Hornet.
Well that takes care tonights flyby. I close out with a wonderfull pic of the Lanc above the cloud deck. I kinda hated to reduce this pic.
Y'all have a great weekend and keep the folks in St. Louis in your thoughts as they have had a rough week. Right now there are over 550,000 cutomers without power.

READ: 2 Timothy 3
In the last days perilous times will come. 2 Timothy 3:1
Have you ever heard someone suggest that if you just trust Jesus, Hell solve all your problems and youll float through life with riches and peace?
If that were the way God planned it for the people who serve Him, then what was Pauls problem? After his conversion, he was as godly as they come, yet he had problems galore. He was one of the greatest missionaries of all timeand what did he get for his trouble? Beaten up. Arrested. Nearly drowned. Run out of town.
Look at Joseph, Abraham, Job, Jeremiah, Petergodly men one and all. Yet they all faced dangers and trouble none of us would ever desire.
So, why the struggle? Why is it that tragedy strikes Christians with the same blunt force that it strikes the most antagonistic atheists? Why are we not exempt from natural disasters, serious illness, interpersonal squabbles, and mistreatment by others?
Somehow, in Gods way of making things work out, our troubles can advance His kingdom and purposes (Romans 8:28; Philippians 1:12). Our task is to glorify God, no matter what the circumstances. If we do, our struggle can direct others to the Savior as we make our way toward our ultimate goal of rest and reward in heaven.
