I wanted to smack the first group of American whiners arriving at BWI airport this week. The American embassy wasn't responsive enough, the phone lines were constantly busy, their email to the State Dept. wasn't answered immediately, they had to stand in line too long to get on the boat out of Lebanon, gourmet meals and designer water weren't served on the boat, they didn't have pillows, and the ultimate horror -- they might be billed for their passage!

There is a simple solution to this carping. The boats have to go back to Beirut for more evacuees. Anyone who profanes a Canadian worker or whines about conditions on the free boat gets put back on board and returned to Lebanon where they can find their own way out.

When the f#$k did it become a Federal Gov't requirement to have a contingency plan to evacuate every vacationer, expat, passport-holder-of-convenience, etc, from every country in the world and to staff each emabassy to execute those plans and to have immediate access to all necessary assets and resources to carry out such evacuations in active war zones or in areas hit by natural disasters?????
I even heard some of these ungrateful dickheads complain that there were only sandwiches to eat on the boat trip from Beruit to Cyprus..

These morons were not placed there by the Canadian government at taxpayer expense. What's the connection here? Governments are obligated to respond instantly to idiots?

This is a good start.
For our own American idiots, I would add up all the expenses of extracting them, however uncomfortably, divide by the number of morons extracted, and --- send them a bill.
If they don't pay, their assets (ha!) and property are seized.

As an Amrican taxpayer, I don't want one red cent of my tax money going to rescue a bunch of whining, sniveling, useless dope-smoking losers.
They found their way to Lebanon? They can find their way back. The normal gene pool will never miss them.
