No more info at this time.
I think the Israelis lost their element of surprise when they:
1. Spent the last three days urging civilians to get out of southern Lebanon.2. Began amassing huge numbers of troops, tanks and other military assets along the border. Troops and tanks can't be left sitting on roadsides indefinitely, and they are all pointed north. If Israel doesn't plan to back down, those troops and tanks are going to move soon.

Exactly...where's the surprise? Betcha they use an air strike of heavy proportions from an unlikely source instead. It's a ruse. Shhh.
Not of their choosing.
When a country you know is not stupid, does something that appears to be stupid, it is just possible that things are not as they appear.
Some say it was stupid to give up the Gaza strip. It turns out that it was brilliant.
In what respect? Not challenging you, just interested in your thinking. :)
Yes, but then you have to kill them afterward. This is TOP SECRET.:)
If Israel stands for anything, it stands for Torah. Keeping Torah acknowledges that it's God who controls the outcome in war.
There are so many military references to this in the Bible that it's ridiculous to list them all, but here's the reference I think definitive from Leviticus 26. First there is a list of requirements, notably verse 2:
2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
Keep the list, and God lists the blessings:
7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
It's a long and ugly list. Best you read it. Considering Israel's history in battle, best that they remain faithful.
I was thinking of this when I watched the news reports about Israeli tanks massing on the border. The video was good enough to show exactly where they were massed.
The first thing that came to mind was This has got to be a disinformation operation.
You may be thinking of the Battle of the Crater a failed Yankee attack in their attempt to take Richmond.
They found a huge Hezbollah bunker complex near Maroun Ras. They could just be prepping that area to take over the town. The town is next to a very high mountain, which has been used by Hezbollah to shoot missiles into Israel in the past. There was even a picture of Hezbullies on top of the mountain a few years ago with their rocket launchers on the live thread very early today or late last night.

Did we let Israel "borrow" any of THESE ?? I hope we did.

LMAO!!
yea, i've heard of that area being a lauch point for their rockets, if they were to take that down it would serious limit their ability to fire the 12 mile version of the Kaytusha. Gonna have to go deeper though to deal with the Fargi 3 and 5 threat.
Israel already has special forces in there as announced by the gal FOX has in Israel. This gets "leaked". The enemy's movements get noticed.
About time...an air war against Hizbollah is a waste of good munitions. What I don't understand is why modern militaries have so few smart weapons to use against a vast populous. For instance, sound transducers mounted on helicopters to emit ultrasonic sounds wave blasts, or simple gas, to render people unconscious for entire square miles of territory, enabling troops to safely go house to house to seperate the civis from militants. Or battle robots to kill anything which fires upon them, or to relay precise coordinates for rapid cruise missile attack. We have such technology available and really do not make the most of it, to protect the lives of innocent civilians as well as soldiers.
My gut feeling is something major will happen this weekend. They sent leaflets out telling people to get out of Southern Lebanon. Do you know if the evacuations are finished yet?
Who cares if Israel wanted it known or not, once they start to move it should be like grease through a goose.
WTF are you doing using the familair form with Chirac?? !!
Try it like this:
Il faut dire a Chirac: taisez-vous, merde-pour-cerveaux!
Cheers!
