Not a prayer. Newt is a panderer. Here merely says what people want to hear. That why he out there spewing all this nonsense about "World War 3". He is a Conservative Bill Clinton. A glib speaker with no core principals other then the desire for power.

Maybe, but what conservative things have the Republicans done since Newt?
To: MNJohnnie
Wasn't he also making bizarre appearances with Hillary a while back ?
I'll never forget when Newt was speaker, he refused to investigate the B1 Bob Dornan scandal where illegals voted to defeat him , and he also allowed a vote and passage of the Lautenberg gun control amendment. Those items didn't sit well with me .

I can say with 100% certainty that the United States of America will not have a president named "Newt" in my lifetime.

It was Newt who took the Regan conservative playbook and used it to put the Republican Party back in the ball game. Because of Gingrich, they still have a grasp of the reigns of Congress. It is because they don't have a principled leader like Newt, that the Republicans teeter on the edge of defeat.
If Republicans can support Rudy Guiliani and McCain, then they can support Newt Gingrich.

He is a Conservative Bill Clinton. I liked his contract for America.
Besides, how wrong is it to have a good Conservative leader for a change?
Besides, he's my uncle.

Not sure what you mean by no core principles. His personal life may resemble that of Bill Clinton's but Newt has always been full of ideas. That is unusual in a business where pols just keep saying the saying thing all over again. One can protest that it is full of 'it." but never forget he led the revolution of'94. I would not vote for him if I had a choice but I want him out there pushing the debate along. Who else? Rudy and McCain? I will say that in case of war I would buy Rudy. Churchill was less than a perfect candidate either.

"Newt is a panderer."
When has Newt ever pandered to anyone? He was forced out precisely because he always spoke his mind when it was unpopular to do so.
"That why he out there spewing all this nonsense about "World War 3"
Militant Islam is a world-wide force that wants to conquer the world, and is trying actively to do so. World War sounds like a pretty good description to me.
"A glib speaker with no core principals other then the desire for power."
That's bullsh!t. Rather than capitulate, he left power because he wasn't willing to abandon his principles. Whatever his personal faults, he was the idealist of the modern GOP, and we've been the poorer for it since he left.

You mean the guy that almost singlely handly caused the republican majority(himself)?.. That guy?..
Where others dripped mealy mouthed bi-partisan platitudes(at the time) Newt spoke plainly with gusto... You must've still been a democrat then and missed it.. maybe still are, in spirit..
Sure the boy has a problem keeping his tallywacker in check... but politically he is dynamite.. Guliani and Mclaim are cross dressed democrats.. Only Richard Simmons is funnier..
