Here is what he's been told now.
He reports tomorrow to sign paperwork and get issued his gear. It is precautionary. He will have to report there every morning. He was told that if Israeli troops mount a ground offensive, they will go to fight.
If we hear more, I'll let you know. We're getting this off of IMs from him in Lebanon.

i think we need to pay attention to verbiage here, she will be looking for a solution, not cease fire. The solution we and israel are looking for is a full removal of Hizbullah from the border (at least back to the litani river) the only force in the region capable and willing to do so is the IDF. I think once the IDF pushes them far enough back, then there is no need to include Hizbullah in the talks (with the exception of the captured soldiers)

I agree. Personally, I think the buildup should have been listed as censored information for the press. Let Hezbollah find out about it when they are engaged.
The rub is... will Hez trust the troops? Will they think a spy or two may be there? Could they let the IDF know where they are?
