It was reported a few days ago that Syria was sending in passenger buses to evacuate the lebanese, it could be the IDF had intelligence the Syrians were using the buses for war supplies on the way in before shuttling evacuees on the way out.

You're pry right about the buses. I find it hard to believe that Lebanon has NO buses with which to ferry their citizens OUT from Beirut.
