Biden and Reid are exactly the kind of lib morons who have brought the world to its present predicament. So many things would be much better now if we'd had Bush-Cheney-Bolton types of kick-ass throughout the '90s. Even in the '80s, a lot of people forget how often the great Ronald Reagan's hands were tied by the weasel libs who then completely dominated Congress. Reagan had the right instincts and ideas, and accomplished a great deal, but now we are seeing "revenge of the liberal nerds" as people like Biden and Reid desperately try to undermine our present administration and win back some of their lost influence.

Maybe i should have phrased it this way, Israel should not leave the bekka valley Hizbullah element intact with the hope a UN force (oxymoron) will prevent them from returning to the border. As much as i can't stand the UN i think they are smart enough not to want to get involved in a situation like Israel found themselves from 82-00' and i'm pretty sure Israel will not agree to some Arab force in there to keep Hizbullah out of the south (fox meet henhouse). i don't know what the answer is, but none of it sounds real good for Israel.

The Senate voted 54 to 38 to end debate on Bolton's nomination. That was six votes short of the 60 needed to stop filibusters in the 100-member chamber. It suggested that Bolton has lost ground since May 26, when 57 senators voted to end the filibuster before one of them switched for parliamentary reasons.

I was under the impression that the Shi'ite were mostly the "good guys" (not counting the Kurds)..and the Sunni, the "bad guys"...

There are many brands of Sunni and Shia, but in general if it is possible to delete the Wahhabbi/Deobandi/Salafists on the Sunni side, and the Khomeinist/Yazdists on the Shia side, then all of us can walk peacefully on the sunny side.
