Head of the anti-Syrian bloc in the Lebanese parliament, Sa’ad el-Hariri, met with a cardinal, a member of the Vatican staff, discussing the ongoing warfare between Israel and Hizbullah.

According to official Vatican reports, Hariri called on the Vatican to intercede towards halting the ongoing Israeli military offensive.

PS They didn't do diddly-squat when Hitler was gassing Jews.

Give it a rest, will ya. That canard has been put to bed so many times.

You really have to wonder what is wrong with Sa’ad el-Hariri. His father was murdered by the Syrians and he is so afraid of being blown to bits that he and his family live in France. Why would he not want his country to be rid of the vile terrorists?

Pope Benedict said on Tuesday,"I fully agree with the G8 communique." The G8 communique blamed Hamas and Hezbollah for the escalation in fighting and urged Israel to exercise restraint.

I wish I could find an article I read a few weeks ago about a book cowritten by Ratzinger and someone else. Believe me, Pope Benedict is no fan of Islam. I will continue to search for the article and ping everyone to it if and when I find it.

Why can't the Muslims and the Jews settle their differences like good Christians?

Because Muslims and
Jews can't turn the other cheek...

So do Arafats' wife and kids.Syria was kicked out of Lebanon. You're right that Sa'ad's dad was asassinated 6 months after taking office. Jr's (sic)democratic election or internationally selected to replace dad, was to establish another democracy foothold in the Middle East. It's reported that at least 6 members of his cabinet are Hes'bolla.
Sa'ad is just a kid and scared to death of not only Hes'bolla and Hamas but also the U.S., Iran and his 2 1/2 sisters, Hillary and Oprah, LOL~

I guess the Catholics were selected, since the Catholics have never compensated the Muslims for destroying the Orthodox city of Constantinople --- now known as Istanbul..

LOL! I doubt the Vatican has THAT must influence with Israel. If the Papal Nuncio in Israel brings up a Lebanese appeal, Israel's trump card is Nazareth. What could he say in retort? Like I said, Lebanon is still talking and not doing. Mere rhetoric isn't enough to get Israel to stop fighting. Hand over the Israeli soldiers and move to disarm Hezbollah. Its not that hard. And if the Lebanese government is really that weak to act, they're not going to have a country left after its all over.

(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em, Down Hezbullies.)

The Lebanese had plenty of time to purge the jihadis. Instead they gave them seats in government, just like the Paliwackers.

what b.s.

If Lebanon needs someone to complain to they should be sending their emissaries to Damascus, Tehran, and the Arab League demanding that Syria and Iran call off their rabid Hezbollah dogs once and for all.

Other than eliminating Hezbollah as a terrorist force continually attacking Israel, there is nothing else to talk about in this matter. The rest is just hot air......
